Collin College LVN to RN Summer 2023

Hello, 

I wanted to create this forum for all LVNs applying into the bridge program at Collin College. Hopefully we can keep one another updated and level headed during this process. Please comment below, we can provide each other with needed info, admission emails, TEAS scores and program points.

This whole entire thing is a DISASTER! I got accepted to Weatherford College bridge program and ALREADY did orientation. I was considering saying no if I still get accepted to Collin because it's closer but people have been saying this has been a bad year for their program. It shows too. It's a shame because this used to be a top program.

Yes please, what problems? I heard the fast track was a mess but that's why they're going back to the fall/Spring semester to hopefully be better. However, I'm still going to pursue it it's closer to me.

I need to be sure that I can keep my job while doing this program, as many people said it is very hard to do that due to the fast track and in person attendance 3 or 4 days a week.

Is it 3-4 days? I just read stuff from the class last year on allnurses. One of my coworkers mentioned something about a law suit but she wasn't sure. She wasn't specific but just thought it went downhill. It was my top choice but why is this taking so long now?

I've just learned to see for myself. No program is perfect tho...but I did have someone who is in the program now tell me it was difficult to do on the fast track etc. so maybe that's why they're changing it. I'm just optimistic and hoping for the best. We should get an email this upcoming week from them and I still hope I'm accepted
