Collin College LVN to RN Summer 2023
Is it 3-4 days? I just read stuff from the class last year on allnurses. One of my coworkers mentioned something about a law suit but she wasn't sure. She wasn't specific but just thought it went downhill. It was my top choice but why is this taking so long now?

Collin College LVN to RN Summer 2023
This whole entire thing is a DISASTER! I got accepted to Weatherford College bridge program and ALREADY did orientation. I was considering saying no if I still get accepted to Collin because it's closer but people have been saying this has been a bad year for their program. It shows too. It's a shame because this used to be a top program.

Collin College LVN to RN Summer 2023
When you guys uploaded you PDF documents, did you remember to label them with your name? I did not, and labeled it instead, bridge packet. Do you think it matters, and I should fix it? It's really bothering me.

Collin College LVN to RN Summer 2023
Well I finally turned my application in. It's nice doing it all online. The other schools I applied to were paper, and you had to turn in a packet. I added up my points, I have 17, and I got a 72.7% on my TEAS. I wonder how many people they are accepting? I'm surprised there aren't more people commenting on this post.

Did you guys apply to other programs also?

Collin College LVN to RN Summer 2023
I'm not sure what my score is but I think a lot of it depends on the scores of everyone who applies. I have looked at other programs, and it looks like everyone is lowering their standards. I see a lot of schools that are now accepting people with sciences that are older than five years. Also, it looks like the scores in general have gone down. I'm not sure what this means?

Collin College LVN to RN Summer 2023
I think I read the same post! I believe a lot of the other programs are having the students redo a lot of skills. So I am not sure. The fast pace makes me nervous! I have to work full time, it's easy work, but I don't have the option to stay home. I got a B, and two C's in my sciences, but I have almost all of my BSN classes done, and I am taking Chemistry and the two government classes this Spring, so I hope that helps me. I just want to get this over with! I am tired of being an LVN, and I am ready to finish school and move out of Texas!

Collin College LVN to RN Summer 2023
Where is everyone else that is applying? Have you heard anything about how it's ran? I thought I read on here, it was changed from two days a week, to three days a week? I am probably going to turn my packet in this week. I just took my TEAS Tuesday, and did average good I think.

Collin College LVN to RN Summer 2023
Where's everyone at?! I am applying for the Summer 2023 program! I've taken most of my classes at the Frisco campus, but took two at Dallas College. I'm applying to two other schools, but this is my top choice, because of location, and the fact that I've been at Collin for the past several years since moving here. Have you guys got all your vaccine records? How are we supposed to know the dates for all are vaccines? Like, if my titer is good, than shouldn't that be enough?

LPN moving to London
My husband is moving to London for a job promotion. He works for HCA. I’ve been working as an LVN for four years and about 12 years experience as an aide before that. Currently enrolled in the US and perusing my RN here. I am finding it difficult to figure out how my college transfers transfer and don’t understand some of the things needed for college. Tariff points or A levels? We will be there at least five years. What are the odds of me completing this in London as an American? I feel like I have ten hoops to jump through. Will any college except me more than others or is there a way to use my experience and do something I hear is called an apprenticeship? I've contemplated staying in the US over this because I want to complete my education. While in London I will not have to work and can dedicate time to persue, but is this worth it or do I just accept I’ll have to stay at home?? Thanks!
