Collin College Fall 2015 ADN

Hello everyone! I was looking for a thread for Fall 2015 for Collin, and didn't see one, so if there already is one, please share the link. Otherwise, welcome to this thread! I am a pre-nursing student and I am about to take the PSB and put in my application for Fall. Who's with me?

I am super nervous, but so very ready to get going with it.

It's going to be a long month guys! I wonder how many people applied this semester

I know they got a new admin *no more Charlene* :-( so I hope that doesn't delay the letters since they have to train the new person. I just happened to be up there checking on something and noticed the change.

Oh man! Well Iasked them how many people had applied for Fall 2015as well but they didn't come close to giving me an actual number. They simply said "Oh, a few hundred."

Do you guys have an idea of when orientation would be? I booked a flight out of town right after the semester is over and I'm scared that if I get in that orientation will be around that time. In the past, it seems like it was around late April/early May. Is orientation mandatory as well?

The orientation for Fall 2013 was May 1st. I'm not sure about Fall 2014 as I couldn't find that information. I haven't heard about when ours would be. Sorry!

A couple of my friends who are in their first semesters right now said there are 2 orientations. I want to say one is about May because you need to get all your books and supplies (shoes, scrubs, badges, fingerprints, backpack and such) and then you have another orientation literally like the week or day before school starts. At least this last bunch did. I do know this class has been asked a lot of questions so maybe they will be changing things up. :up:. I have heard they want you to read like 12 chapters before the first day of class. Ok, I MAY be exaggerating on the 12 chapters.. I think it's more like 6. But you do need your books early. At least you get them all up front! Unless your on financial aid. :banghead:

Chaotic_Fury - That stinks since I am on FA! I wonder how I am going to make that work. Since you have friends in the program - what can you tell u about it? I have been wanting to talk to people in the program but I can't find any on here that will talk to me. LOL!

I just received an email stating that I was accepted into TWU's nursing program!! So if accepted into Collin, I will definitely be turning it down. Good luck to you all!!

It's so surreal! I can't wait for all of yall to experience the excitement and joy I'm feeling now haha! I still can't believe it!! Beyond ecstatic and grateful!
