Hi everyone!
I have been looking around the site for info on the College of New Rochelle Accelerated program and there doesn't seem to be too many people applying or in the program.
If anyone has any information about this program (how competitive it is, if it is any good, any other relevant info) it would be greatly appreciated! :)
Oh, that makes sense because I'm going to be a transfer student. I'm getting it directly from school. As far as I know, most of their scholarships are for people doing their first degree. (i.e. the highschool graduates)
I'm excited and a little nervous--reading the stuff in the Nursing Student forum, it seems like it's gonna be a lot of work. I haven't gotten the books yet. I'm waiting for the book vouchers which they are going to give out in the last week of August. This is if you have extra money in your account from financial aid. (grants, loans, etc.) Only buy the nursing books. If you gotta take something else like a computer class, just go to the library, ask to borrow the book and make copies of the chapters you need. Saves you money that way. :)
Ok, so I am thinking of moving back to NY from AZ after I finish my pre-reqs, which is about another semester. I am thinking about transferring to CNR only because all the schools in AZ have too long of a waiting list. On the CNR website it gives general information about the Nursing program (I am going to give them a call on Mon) but, what do they require you to get on the NET? Do they have a waiting list? Also because they are expensive, where did you find information on scholarships for that school? Moving back to NY will be a difficult decision because after only being in AZ for a year, I love it, so it has to be really worth it. Thanks.
the tuition cost for college of new rochelle is $23,000.00 per semester, that might be one of the many reason(s) why people are not applying, it is too expensive...the course is six (6) semesters long including summer, multiply 6 semester by $23,000.00...are you still interested.
college of new rochelle tuition is not 23k, it is about 11k and the program is not 6 semesters long.
hi. i just applied to the CNR Accelerated BSN program. i was just wondering if anyone knew for sure the exact number of seats admitted per semester in the accelerated track, as well as the individualized track...
just talked to admissions and they told me that decisions for the 2009 accelerated track (as well as the individualized track beginning spring 2009) should be making their way into the mail by the middle of november
pretty nervous... mediocre 3.2 GPA from Boston U '02, but i have a 4.0 in all my prereq sciences and other classes from WCC... i do have about 6 months of volunteer work in ambulatory surgery, plus another 6 months experience working as a tech in cardio-pulm (still working there)... but i have no clue as to what my chances are because of the limited amount of seats in the programs vs. the sheer amount of applicants... (also, will my being a Male have any effect on decisions?)
When I contacted CNR and asked about the number of seats, the Dean of admissions kind of skirted over the question. She did say that they continually accept students for the accelerated program to a certian point-but in terms of the month, not the # of people. I get the feeling that It is a large program though which Im not sure is a good thing. O.P I am in the same boat as you, I guess we will see.:wink2:

Yes, I actually I am going tomorrow. I got a scholarship because my GPA is 3.7 so I think you'd probably need a GPA in the high 3.X's to get one.
