College of New Rochelle Accelerated Program

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi everyone!

I have been looking around the site for info on the College of New Rochelle Accelerated program and there doesn't seem to be too many people applying or in the program.

If anyone has any information about this program (how competitive it is, if it is any good, any other relevant info) it would be greatly appreciated! :)

The tuition cost for College of New Rochelle is $23,000.00 per semester, that might be one of the many reason(s) why people are not applying, it is too expensive...the course is six (6) semesters long including summer, multiply 6 semester by $23,000.00...are you still interested.

WHAT??????????????????????????? The accelerated program is 6 semesters? How is that? There site stated 18 months.

Thanks Dee, I got your PM. I didn't see the tuition information on their site. That is crazy.

ok that information is false. Their accelarated program is 18 months. The tution is 822 per credit which comes up to 11,000 or so per semester. I started there in July and it has been amazing. the school is ranked # 2 in the NYC area. U definitely get your money's worth.

Ok,...I got this information from their website, it stated from 12-16 credits the cost is $23,000.00...I'm trying to find the information so I could cut and paste it, as soon as I find it I will post.

it's probably for 1 yr. Im taking 13 credits this semester and my tution is 11, 230. So i have no idea where you found that.

Goldruss17, thanks for the info...my girlfriend and I were on the site togather and saw that information, you cleared up all the confusions, guys I apologize, I guess we misunderstood.

Goldruss17, I went to google and typed in tuition cost for CNR, the information that I found are as follows: cost of attendance $35,000.00- tuition & fee=$23,700, room & board=$8,700.00, books & supplies=$600.00, and other expenses=$2,000.00.

Can you please shed some light on this.

Like i said it is 23,000 per year. I commute so i do not use the room and board. Room and board will be the same for any other school in nyc

Specializes in ICU, PACU.

Actually, a lot of people are in CNR's Nursing Program. (Myself included this fall) Many people transfer over there, after two years in another college to fulfill the prerequisites. They gave me this paper that says approximately 200 RNs are going for their BSN and about another 200 highschool graduates are going for their 1st degree in Nursing. You don't really count the highschool graduates much because they are fulfilling the prerequisites. So I would estimate about 200-300 that are actually in the Nursing program, more or less. There's approximately 800 students in the college. It's not too hard to get into. They look for a 3.0 GPA and at least a C+ on their prerequisites. The college's passing rate in the Nursing Board Exam is in the top 5 of NY. So yes, they are pretty into their students. They actually treat you like royalty compared to CUNY schools.

As for the tuition, I paid $12,411 for this semester, which includes all the fees, except for room and board. Multiply that by two and we're talking about $25,000 per year. I do get a $10,000 scholarship per year so I don't pay for all of it. It's still a lot of money but hey I won't be complaining here. The rest is loans.

I will be attending this fall too. Dakeirus are you going for orientation tomorrow, if so drop me a note. And how do $10000 in scholarships, i was told i can't get any scholarship. Pls let me know.
