College of New Rochelle Accelerated Program

Published

Hi everyone!

I have been looking around the site for info on the College of New Rochelle Accelerated program and there doesn't seem to be too many people applying or in the program.

If anyone has any information about this program (how competitive it is, if it is any good, any other relevant info) it would be greatly appreciated! :)

did anyone attend bsn pace university school of nursing? if so, please let me know if you will recommend their bsn nursing program.

You can find out by going to there webpage. I'm sure all of your questions will be answered there.:typing

I am currently attending CNR and I do not like it there.:crying2::crying2::crying2: They are very nice when they want you to attend, but as soon as you start the treatment is awful. You have to be VERY strong to finish the program. Despite all the money that you pay, there is not a lot of equipment to work with.:cry:The woman in change of the LCN worries more about the carpet on the floor than the equipment to pratice with. It is a shame. Most importantly, they want you to be efficient but they are not. Think of CNR as BOOT CAMP. They do not foster student's growth. Maybe when you are researching ask them what percentage of students that start the program actually finish.

Robert08,

I've heard this from another student on the board-this scares me. I went to Hunter college where there was no support or help, so I'm used to it. I thank you for coming here to share your experience-it's really good to know this won't be a walk in the park. When I visited I got the sense that this year and a half was not going to be easy or affordable-but doable. Their NCLEX pass rate is 75 percent-so that was a hint.

Any tips? Did you just start? Biggest obstacle at the school?

If you work give it up. School and work equal failure.

Yeah, I don't plan on working. School will be my only priority. Are you in the accelerated program?

Good. I am not in the fast track program. i will suggest that you get your hands on a Potter and Perry textbook and start reading the communication chapter and as someone suggest earlier listen to GG keenly. Every word that comes out of her mouth even in the form of a joke or a story. You will find it useful. Like I said before, you need to have reserve strenght to finish the program.

Thanks Robert08. If you don't mind me asking-if you don't like it there, then why stay? Are you almost done with the program? What potter book?

I do not want to start other. I am tired of school so I am bearing it and hopefully I will be done in another year. Besides I want to be a "real mother" Fundamental of Nursing by Potter and Perry the lastest edition.

Hi GT,

Wow! you found someone on this board I would like to ask a few questions as he said he was attending the individual track at CNR.

Hi Robert08,

How hard was it to get accepted into the individual track? What are they looking for on transcripts and how is financial aid paid on that track?

What are the hours like? What are the classes like? How many books are needed on this track per semester?

What will the syllibus look like the first semester? How long does it take to finish this track? How long are the Classes?

What is Financial per semester on this track? I am waiting to see if I get accepted into the Fall 2009 classes and wondering how do they choose who will attend. I heard their enrollment rate is down.

HEY GT,

After you got accepted, which was good news now and when it happened:yeah:I have not heard from anyone else on this board who has been accepted or will be accepted for the Fall 2009. I am still wondering are there future enrollees who are waiting to be accepted like myself. Please let me hear from you, the only reason I am concerned is because I do enjoy study groups and have always participated with one or two people in a group when it came to studying for any classes that I may havene taken.

Let me hear from the Future Fall 2009 Students............................:typing

I am one of you awaiting for my fall acceptance letter. I am not too worry, because those letters suppose to be mailed on the 26th of May. Be patient yours will arrive.
