Hi everyone!
I have been looking around the site for info on the College of New Rochelle Accelerated program and there doesn't seem to be too many people applying or in the program.
If anyone has any information about this program (how competitive it is, if it is any good, any other relevant info) it would be greatly appreciated! :)
Ms. A. & Ms. GT.
I would not know anything if it were not for both of you. Being that we have to take out loans what would cover the entire school terms, plus books, uniforms and everything that I would need to complete the entire course. I still have my hope up high that I am going to receive a acceptance letter.
I'm getting ready for my graduation at Madison Square Garden on June 12th, 2009 and my Gala on June 11th. I will take my second walk for BA on the above date. I got my AAS in 2007, and my BA in 2008 I had to wait until June of this year to walk.
This is :loveya:the same day I pick up my cap and gown is the day the letters are suppose to go out at CNR.
Hello,
Just wanted to welcome everyone who got into The College Of New Rochelle. i just finished my second semester Med-surg staring OB and Peds in the fall. Yay! Get ready for a very busy summer, Dr Go has a lot of work cut out for you. Hang in there, you will do fine. Let me know if you have any questions. Buy your books on amazon.com, they are a lot cheaper! Good luck everyone.
Hello Goldruss17,
Im so excited, and scared. Classes this summer are 4 days a week, 8am-630 pm or 8:30 pm some nights. Its alot, and Ms. G, was like this is 16 weeks worth of classes compressed into 7 weeks....the horror. We start clinicals by week 2, so darn nervous, but excited. Fall seems alot more doable with the gaps. Any advice, besides studying early and getting cheaper books (which Ive already started pricing). What are the hours for the LCN?
Hi GT,
You sound like a smart young lady, and you have what it takes to become a nurse:nurse: and I believe that so do Mrs. G. that is why you have been accepted.
GoldRush is right, buckle down, focus, find people there with the same interest as yourself, work as a team, and most importantly "BELIEVE IN YOURSELF"
YOU CAN DO IT...............I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU WHEN YOU HAVE PASSED YOUR FIRST SEMESTER.
Thanks Gold and BB,
I've already started studying, my mothers an NP & educator-and treating me like a student. Thanks for the words of encouragement-support is really important for success. It's just soo much. I went to CUNY Hunter where I could pay tuition out of pocket, at CNR I can't. It's a weird feeling. Although, there are plenty of hospitals with loan forgiveness guys!
Okay, so there is a reccomendation to get a med math book for nurses- anyone hear this too? My mother also stated that getting through nursing school with/using short cut books that reinforce what your text says.
Goldruss, what are the clinical orders- like med surg first then ob, then what. This summer we do med surg, I don't know what's next for fall. Fall classes are pharmacology (lec), acute care for adults, altered physio, and politics in health care. Do you know what clinicals go with these classes?

I'm going there on Tuesday or Wednesday next week so I'll look for the lot, I just could not find anything for the life of me. Behind the gym you say....Mrs.G said the Teas were mandatory but not counted against us.
