College of Mount Saint Vincent ABSN Spring 2021 Start

Hello Friends! I was recently accepted into the ABSN program at College of Mount Saint Vincent for the Spring 2021 start. Was wondering if anyone else is applying there, or if they have received their acceptance into the program as well. Let's connect!

You can tell by the syllabus if it’s recorded or not because it’ll say “the course uses lock down browser”. I think the orgo chem is the first course they are recording. I found this out when I had to call portage once.

at the end of the day I think portage is  better than taking it at a school tho 

I just checked and yes the micro class I am taking is recorded as well. Maybe they are starting to record more classes. I think Im going to struggle more with micro than chem to be honest but I hope once I start its not that bad. I agree I think its better than at school too. 
 

have you guys signed up for orientation? I signed up for the jan 6th date but I was hoping they had a different day for orientation.

I was accepted in the Spring 2021 ABSN as well! Any idea how many people they are taking in the cohort?

For those of you who have taken the Microbiology class on portage learning, are the tests just like the practice problem set? Or will they give you different questions?

It used to be similar questions and some of them were even the same but I’m sure they’ve changed it now because my friend just took micro after me she said it diff problems than the module set

btw guys make sure you look good on the orientation day because they take your id picture that day LOL

is anyone else having issues with portage learning today? I tried taking my chem exam and respondus keeps giving em a 504 error message.

Hey! Yes, I got an email from ----------------------- about next steps like registering for orientation and an email about the financial aid meeting that is happening next week.

I also got the email about orientation and I think in the email she mentioned that they’ll talk about financial aid that day too but I didn’t know about the one next week?

It’s 12/14 between 4-5pm. Email her because they have to send you the email to register
