Hello Friends! I was recently accepted into the ABSN program at College of Mount Saint Vincent for the Spring 2021 start. Was wondering if anyone else is applying there, or if they have received their acceptance into the program as well. Let's connect!

Are there any other professors besides this one teaching other semester? How hard are the exams--is it related to the books/classwork? What's the point of ATI? Are a lot of people passing these courses if you know?
We just show up to take exams and do group work. With Garcia’s class, we just show up for test taking tips ? but not review for exams, do group assignments and present but not get a grade for it. Fundamentals professor was fair he actually taught. Some of the clinical professors didn’t show up. Thankfully my clinical and lab professors did and they actually taught well. Garcia is unfit mentally for the job. I see why she has groups present so she doesn’t have to teach. She cannot even get a full sentence oujtneithout saying “ummm” or she talks and mid sentence she stops because she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. This school is more worried about cheating then they are about people actually learning. We have complained to the dean numerous times and nothing has been done.

Oh my goodness. Thank you so much for telling us these. It's giving me a second thought on actually going to this program now. So you guys have been doing the in-person class for the past semester even with the pandemic?

We come in for our classes but time is cut in half because of covid. We do most assignments online. It’s a waste of time to even come into the building. I’m not telling you not to go but just be prepared to mainly teach yourself!

Wow. It’s pretty damn disheartening to hear all of this. I know that times are tough, but to hear about all these experiences and to know that students are shelling out $60k for the “education”...it’s really horrible to think about.

Yea but what happened with the situation? Because my friend told me that a bunch of students asked to just do online because it was taking them longer to get to class than the amount of time they were even in class. This is insane and it’s definitely a major concern. This is an RN program, it isn’t really a joke ...wow

I haven’t heard about financial aid, but then again, I messed up and filed for 2021-2022 as opposed to 2020-2021, so I only filed my new FAFSA this past month.

I haven’t yet. Hopefully they send us more details before orientation.

Definitely. Do you wanna make it? Otherwise I can make one sometime this week.

We were in person but the program is terrible. When we went to class all we did was group work or just to take quizzes.
