College of Mount Saint Vincent ABSN Spring 2021 Start

Published

Hello Friends! I was recently accepted into the ABSN program at College of Mount Saint Vincent for the Spring 2021 start. Was wondering if anyone else is applying there, or if they have received their acceptance into the program as well. Let's connect!

Honestly, the school is not doing very well. Their NCLEX scores were low, therefore there has been a lot of changes with classes and professors because they are so cheating paranoid. It’s a lot of self teaching specially for hard classes like patho. They expect you to know the system in and out and the chapter easily has 170 slides and state everything is testable but the professor just reads of slides in class. I will strongly recommend knowing your cardiac blood flow and system, know your neuro system, know your respiratory. The systems you’ve learned in bio just go over them so that when you start it’s all familiar because patho is the study of diseases not just straight definition. Another suggestion for incoming students, whenever something is personally off in your bill, go in person! They are so bad in replying to emails and answering phones. Bring your parents to the school, write down the name and person you speak to and date it each time. The school uses Castle branch which is a system that makes sure all your vaccines and physical examinations are in before starting clincials. It does the same for CPR and so forth, make sure you have all up to date. They will drop and remove you from clincials for not being compliant . Get your physical appointments at least 2 months before starting to ensure if there’s anything missing you can go back and do it in time. Best of luck!

Was anyone is this cohort able to secure a job after graduation?
