Hello Friends! I was recently accepted into the ABSN program at College of Mount Saint Vincent for the Spring 2021 start. Was wondering if anyone else is applying there, or if they have received their acceptance into the program as well. Let's connect!

Im taking chem now it’s recorded exams and the professor I have is very strict for some reason IDK. Considering their other classes. I have taken ap1,2micro, and now chem w them. Micro was okay, they ask ALOT of detailed questions for exams tho. IDK if it’s proctored it wasn’t when I took the course.
Chem is hard because the guy that does the lectures makes ALOT of mistakes. So you have to figure out what he’s saying and it’s a mess. Also the labs take a really long time to do because you basically have to type out everything the guy is saying...that’s pretty much the only way I’ve been able to get good grades on the lab. Takes a long time but it is what it is LOL

Wow I started the chem class and my professor is really nice I have been getting good grades so far I havent had any problems. I wonder if we have different professors. I thought the subject was taught by the same person. I havent started my micro class yet I will start that class in about 2-3 weeks in order to finish it by the school deadline.

I honestly haven’t started chem yet I’m a little nervous I’m currently finishing up a&p2 and lifespan before I start chem. Who’s your professor ?

Deadline is jan 8th..yea there’s diff professors
My friend and I took ap at the same time and we had diff professors. I’m 60% done w chem now and it’s not bad but it’s very different from their other courses. Like being recorded and the exams having only 10 questions. So you can’t afford to get anything wrong because 3 wrong that’s a 70. Thank God the modules get shorter as the course goes on !

I hope the tests are not recorded for micro then. I think they might be. Im only 23% through chem, im working on module 3 right now and I think its the longest one out of all of them.
Yea hopefully not micro was def very detailed. Also wasn’t 10 questions per exam it was like 30 when I took it. I took it earlier this year. You can tell by the syllabus if it’s recorded or not because it’ll say “the course uses lock down browser”. I think the orgo chem is the first course they are recording. I found this out when I had to call portage once.
at the end of the day I think portage is better than taking it at a school tho
