College of Marin Fall 2021

Hello!  I just applied to COM’s nursing program for fall 2021. I believe I have 86 points per my calculations. Anyone else applying?  I heard that quite a lot of applicants from 2020 who got in last year decided to defer for a year due to COVID, so there will be less available spots this year!!  I’m hoping 86 pts is enough to get in, and I’m also hoping to apply for the BSN program through either option they offer. Would love to hear from anyone else hoping to get in to COM Nursing this year!

I was waitlisted as well last week. Noticed the website said "taking 78 pts" to "79pts" back to "78pts" since 1st round of acceptances. Curious if anyone has heard from admissions/ regarding the waitlist or if the pt change was just a correction on COM end?

Well if it makes you feel any better I got in and know two others personally who got in, and there has been no further communication from com regarding questions, confirmation, etc. so I think they are sloowwwwwwwly rolling out acceptances, etc. right now.

I assumed the first 78 to 79 was a correction. Anyone sitting at 77? I’m at 76. ? Waiting is not fun.

Hi! I was also accepted in to CoM! I’m wondering if anyone knows if they do an orientation to go over scheduling and stuff like that? I have been accepted to 3 different programs and I would like to know all that I can about the program before making a decision as to which one I attend!

I haven’t heard of Anything but pleasE sure if u do find out anything.

Santa Barbara City College and American River College but Marin is closer to home

I got my acceptance letter beginning of May. 
Im going to be transferring from another RN program. 
It looks like admissions have concluded at 77pts. Congrats to everyone who got in this year!

did they do the final acceptances? I thought they were going to lottery 4?

I don't think they have chosen lottery students yet. Their webpage said they had a 8 way tie at 77 points and once they finalize those three remaining seats they will do the lottery to fill the remaining 4 seats.

So for this Fall 2021, they will put 4 people in the alternate list into a lottery? Does anyone know how many people apply this year?

I’m guessing if it’s anything like last year then the lottery winners have already been notified, and they will update the webpage once students have accepted their seats.
