College of Marin (COM) 2024/25 applicants

Hi! Just wondering if there is anyone here who applied to the COM program for this fall. I did and I'd love to connect with others who are anxiously waiting for news! 

Specializes in Massage therapist. ED medical scribe.

LOL I've been sending test emails to my student account. It definitely works, just no news. I know today is the first possible day we can hear. Logically I know to just wait, but emotionally I'm a wreck!! Good luck everyone!!

Is SRJC competitive? it is the Lottery, correct? 


What is your guy's preference?

SRJC is lottery but they get A LOT of applications, so it's definitely competitive. I'm happy with either but I would prefer SRJC.

I am asking because I have a friend that applied there and I was wondering her chances. She took all her classes there, not sure if that makes a difference. I also know two people in their program.

I took most of my classes there too. I don't know that it really makes a difference. My mom did nursing school at SRJC about 15 years ago and really loved it.

I hear their program is really good, but also strict, which I don't think it is a bad thing. I applied there last year and  did not got in. I got into College of Marin and Merrit college. I just graduated College of Marin last week. 

I have two friends that applied and I am anxious for them haha

One of them wants SRJC and the other one wants COM

One of them wants SRJC and the other one wants COM

It is definitely more strict than college of Marin. My husband works with two people who just graduated from college of Marin as well and they said it's pretty laid back.

Not yet! From what I've heard from others they never send out before the date they have posted on their website!

I was hoping for either the srjc or Marin, but I'm not optimistic for the JC. I am going to accept COM 🙂
