College of the Canyons Summer/ Fall 2019

Hello All:

Starting a thread for those of us applying to COC Summer/ Fall 2019 RN program. I am specifically applying to the LVN to RN program. Lets keep each other updated on status.

For those that have been admitted into COC's program, have any of you applied and been accepted to CSUDH's collaborative program that starts this June? If so, what is the class schedule and how much did you have to pay in total? I was thinking of applying since the deadline for the application isn't until May 25th, but I don't know if I can afford it right now.

Have you heard anything yet? I’m so tempted to call Julie to ask if they’re going to accept any alternates anymore, classes start soon ?

Classes don’t start until August. So they are accepting alternates all the way until the first week of school

I haven’t, but they can call us in up until August 16.

To be honest, I was expecting some movement this week. I know of 1-2 people who were accepted somewhere else and who are going to give up their spots at CoC. Hopefully, we’ll know more soon.

As of the orientation date I was number 5 after the 7 people dropped. I saw on this thread someone will be dropping their acceptance so I’m assuming I’m #4 now

I did the CPR last weekend and I am going for the fire card on Saturday.

I'm super stressed too but I am trying to stay patient, positive, and busy. It's really out of our hands right now. It's a pretty helpless feeling, isn't it?
