Hello All:

Starting a thread for those of us applying to COC Summer/ Fall 2019 RN program. I am specifically applying to the LVN to RN program. Lets keep each other updated on status.

I was taking communication during the winter session and I had a in-progress grade for that class at the time I sent the transcripts. I didn't bother to send them another transcript after I got my grade for comm because they said that the communication and psychology courses weren't a part of the mandatory prerequisite requirements so they would only count those courses in the prerequisite evaluation if there is a grade for it. I called them right now after reading your comment and they said they couldn't tell me right now if that was going to be an issue for my application. They said I'll have to wait for the invitation which will be sent this week or on monday. But I'm pretty sure I'll get a rejection letter. I guess I'll have to reapply ?

I heard that it only applies to the classes taken in spring and not winter but don’t hold me to that...... when I went to the info session they said the winter classes in progress we’re ok

I hope that's true but it's okay. I've already mentally prepared myself getting the rejection letter lol. I also emailed one of the school coordinators about it and asked if I can deliver an updated transcript in person before they send out the invitations. I know it's a long shot but I figured I'd give it one last shot and I don't have anything to lose if they say no.

I just got an email saying I never sent my high school diploma or transcripts when I did upload them. So annoying

wow...I would try calling and telling them that you did send them.

They are allowing me to resend them by April 8th so I just sent them right now. But I informed Julie Lutes that the diploma was uploaded and I know some other students were having issues with not seeing their diploma on the confirmation email despite uploading it.

Really? I called and tried to resend my transcripts that didn’t have the “in progress” on it but instead the grade and I was told “it wasn’t an invitation to send in the right paperwork, that I would need to re-apply the next application period” ... I was annoyed bc my email said I could submit a grievance that pertained to the “documents submitted” by the 3rd .. but whatever !

I didn't know we even needed to send in a diploma lol. It's all coming clear now why I haven't been contacted. I'm relieved, I have time to buy the smart prep and get a high score on my TEAS for next round.

If you have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, I don’t think you needed to send one in, right? If we did, I’m out too, lol.

Yeah if you have an AA/BA/BS you didn’t have to send the diploma. The degree just has to be indicated on the transcript of the school you received it at.

Only if you don’t have a degree

Yes I have an associates degree from coc but it was issues December 2018 but wasn’t posted on my transcripts yet so I had to photocopy my diploma and send it

Oh! Okay. I need to take a break. I'm over thinking this lol. This admissions thing is crazy lol. We'll all hear back soon enough. ?
