Hello! Anyone applying to College of the Canyons for Spring 2019? Let's update each other. Anyone know the points needed to get in? Good luck everyone.
I got in as well!
First world problems: I was fortunate to get into Moorpark's program as well but want to ask if anyone has more information on what COC's schedule looks like? I've read on here that we'd have to be on campus 5 days/week for the first 8 weeks or so, but I'm curious on what those hours look like since I'll need to work while in the program.
So my stats were an 82% on the TEAS... over all GPA was a 3.8... I do have a bachelors degree, and I have volunteer experience. In all my science courses, I received A's except for my physiology lab, I received a B. I remember calculating my points and I had roughly around 70-75 points. DONT GIVE UP GUYS! I applied for UCLA and CSULA's ABSN programs earlier this year, and didn't get in. As hard as it was for me to keep my hopes up, I had to keep going so I decided to apply to COC and Moorpark and I got in to both! Just don't give up and keep pushing! Timing is everything.
This was the only school I applied to , I guess I have to look at other schools now- the only thing is my sciences are 10 years old I need a school who doesn't have recency
I noticed they don't have a recency requirement that's why i liked coc too. They got a lot of apps this cycle. I think you should reapply in fall like me. We csn do it. I wonder what the minimum cut off was this time, I bet very high.

Which school are you going to choose? I'm in the same dilemma.
So I live 5 minutes away from COC which is so convenient, so I'm choosing COC. Another thins that was appealing to me about the program is how I can start on my BSN with this program. I'm not sure if Moorpark offers that, but I know that COC is huge on that.
