Hello! Anyone applying to College of the Canyons for Spring 2019? Let's update each other. Anyone know the points needed to get in? Good luck everyone.
So my stats were an 82% on the TEAS... over all GPA was a 3.8... I do have a bachelors degree, and I have volunteer experience. In all my science courses, I received A's except for my physiology lab, I received a B. I remember calculating my points and I had roughly around 70-75 points. DONT GIVE UP GUYS! I applied for UCLA and CSULA's ABSN programs earlier this year, and didn't get in. As hard as it was for me to keep my hopes up, I had to keep going so I decided to apply to COC and Moorpark and I got in to both! Just don't give up and keep pushing! Timing is everything.
Yes girl! Guys I agree with this 100%! Time is everythingggggg! I recently applied to 4 different cal states and didn't get in to any...it was so hard for me to accept that, change my plan, and keep pushing. But in my eyes everything happens for a reason and you all will eventually end up where you're meant to be. Please don't give up. Nursing is so much different than most other degrees and I don't think many people understand what we really go through just to get into a program. I'm not sure if anyone is an alternate but I will be deferring my acceptance because I'm going to SBCC instead. So good luck to you all and congrats to everyone else that got in :)
Oh wow very nice stats. Do you live nearby? Or are you moving near there?
Thank you! You were selected as well, correct? Huge Congratulations!! I live in Sherman Oaks, so it's about a 15-25 minute drive going against the traffic thank goodness.
Are you planning on moving there? I saw a really beautiful apartment about 8 minutes away on apartments.com the other day fyi =)
