COC Fall 2020

Published

Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to make a forum for us folks who applied to COC’s Fall 2020 nursing program ?

Post anything related here! Would love to stay updated with y’all.

I’m getting pretty nervous since I will be about 8 months along on date of exam. I’m hoping I don’t have to use the restroom every second ?

Huge bummer since my testing date in March got canceled due to COVID-19.

Does everyone get invited to take the TEAS?

@om96 Yes, I was in the same situation. I was supposed to take the TEAS back in March but it was postponed. Emails were sent out to the applicants that were eligible for the invitation. (ex: meeting all the criteria requirements: GPA, pre-reqs, etc.)

Is the TEAS being held at the actual school campus or online?

(I already took my TEAS but I am curious about those who are planning on taking it June 5th)

On campus! I only heard of GCC taking their TEAS via Proctorio.

Does anyone have statistics of past application cycles??

Feeling discouraged as I did get an 80 on the exam and my GPAs are roughly around 3.3. Using the criteria sheet, I barely round up around 58 points out of 100!?

Hey guys just calcuated my points and I am coming in with about 76 ish points do I have a chance at getting in? And also if you guys could post your stats that would be appreciated! :)

That's awesome! I'm guessing you have a very big chance of getting in.

Ohh yes! You have a very high chance!

I know a lot of people with around 76-80ish points, I’m just not sure if I’ll get in. Thank you! Does anyone know if they just take a wide range of scores or do they just pick the highest scoring applicants?

They pick the highest scoring applicants based on the points they get.

They definitely pick the highest rankings.

They also do random selection. My husband got in with 70 points because of random selection
