Hello Everyone!
Just wanted to make a forum for us folks who applied to COC’s Fall 2020 nursing program ?
Post anything related here! Would love to stay updated with y’all.

My stats were:
3.9 overall GPA
3.6 science GPA
90.7% TEAS
I believe this is about 75 points.
I wonder if we know the same person declining their spot? Are her initials ------------------------? If not that would make me alternate #11! ????
I’m alternate 13 and my stats were:
3.8 overall GPA
3.75 science GPA
84% TEAS
and about 5 misc. points
I think I had a total of 70 points overall ?

Unfortunately, yes, we are talking about the same person, so sorry, hoping that you get in!!

I will try to increase my GPA and apply again!
CONGRATS to all who got accepted/waitlisted!
How are you planning to raise your GPA? I should probably do the same.

I am in the process of retaking my science prereqs. I took all of the prereqs around 4-5 years ago and got C's in almost all of them. Now that I have a more clear vision of the future I want and more motivation, I'm hoping to do better in the sciences now.
I know that some schools only take one science retake (or no retakes at all) but some schools don't have a policy against this. I know that COC recommends you take all courses without repeating or withdrawing in order to be a competitive applicant, but they don't have a policy against it so hopefully the higher GPA will be worth it!
