  1. I did get an acceptance just a couple days ago but I decided to go with another program due to my experience just inquiring about the program with them. No one would answer e-mails, no one was willing to answer questions or have a zoom/phone advising meeting. The lack of support and communication was worrisome considering the program is online and our main source of communication would be e-mail or phone calls.
  2. Did you end up going to CSUDH for the RN to BSN? If so, I would love your input of the program! Thank you.
  3. Hi, I am thinking about attending this program! How has it been so far? Would love your input. Thank you.
  4. Hello, I am an ADN student interested in an ADN to BSN program, and I am currently deciding between CSU Channel Islands and CSU Dominguez Hills. Does anyone have any information they can share about these programs, if you have attended, and any recommendations? I am torn between the two, so far I have had a very difficult time getting in touch with anyone from CSUDH which is already a red flag especially since the program is mainly online and I want to be confident that I can get in touch with the Nursing Department during the program. CSUDH is only 23 units vs. Channel Islands being 31.5 units which is a big price difference and work load considering I want to be a full-time student AND full-time working nurse. If anyone attended CSUCI's RN to BSN program, is working full-time possible during the full-time program? Also, I am confused if CSUCI is normally an "in-person" on campus program? Right now their classes are online due to the pandemic but things are starting to go back to normal and so if it is in-person, how often are classes on campus per week and how many clinical days per week? CSUDH program mainly consists of group projects, discussion boards and written papers from my understanding, is CSUCI the same or is it mainly exams and quizzes like RN programs? Any help answering these questions or any information is greatly appreciated! I went to a info session for CSUCI but it was not very informative of these questions and the presenter did not know the answers to my questions... Thank you!
  5. Is the TEAS being held at the actual school campus or online? (I already took my TEAS but I am curious about those who are planning on taking it June 5th)
  6. Definitely a bummer. I had heard great things about Pasadena's program so I was hoping to have the chance to apply. I wish they would have updated us considering they only noted a "delay" in the application and many of us had been checking the website constantly ready to apply.
  7. Has anyone heard a definite answer that they are not opening their application for Fall 2020?
  8. I do not think less people applied this term because most of the applications were right before this whole outbreak happened. And most people who applied for this term had their requirements completed. I do think moving forward, the next application period will have a significant number of less applicants due to the outbreak putting schooling on pause, CNA classes were stopped, work laid people off, etc. Plus, some people may chose moving forward that nursing is not for them after witnessing what is required during a pandemic. I think the people who deferred will definitely get in the next application period! Think positive.
  9. I have not either. Hopefully next week? I am getting anxious!
  10. Is anyone willing to disclose their "points" when they applied. This is my first time applying. I am not sure how competitive it is to get in right away versus waiting on the waiting list. I hope you all get in this semester! Keep working hard, we will all be awesome nurses one day.
  11. Did decisions go out? I have not heard anything, I am debating emailing them.
  12. Hello everyone! I also applied to LACC for Fall 2020. I have not heard anything and I am super anxious. I also applied to Glendale, pierce, lavc, and COC. I hope we all hear good news soon, most schools are pushing back their dates due to everything going on. Does anyone have any insight on any of these nursing schools in terms of good passing rate/success rates of the students?
  13. My bad, I meant LACC (Los Angeles City College). Did you apply there too?
  14. Did anyone apply to LAVC? And if you did, have you heard anything or any updates?
  15. I did not get a new e-mail with new dates. The last e-mail I received said TEAS scores to be sent by 22nd of May, invites for TEAS via proctorio, and that we would hear back before May 30th because Summer schools starts June 15th. Ah this is getting crazy.
