I'm starting this thread for everyone applying for COC's spring 2014 RN program. Please feel free to join in. We're all in this together! For anyone who's thinking of applying, the deadline for turning in your transcripts and requesting your prerequisite evaluation is tomorrow!
I'm an LVN hoping to get into the LVN to RN program. I applied last year and received an email notifying me that I qualified for the program but that they didn't have the required 20 qualified LVN applicants to offer the class. Booo hooo hooo... Oh well, I completed all of the General Ed classes in the meantime and have my fingers crossed for this time around :-)
I'm a little nervous about the TEAS V test and am starting to study for it. I read that the test is pretty challenging. Yikes!
I look forward to hearing from my fellow nail-biters!
Wooooo hooooo! I received my application status notification and TEAS test date! That must mean they're actually going to offer the LVN to RN program this year! Yippeeeee!
I'm scheduled to take the TEAS test on 10/4 at 8:00 am. Is everyone scheduled to take the test on the same date and time?
Who else received their notification? We can celebrate together!

That's a shame but yes, it says on the notification that they only accept the first attempt.
I'm glad to hear that they offer different times to take the test. I think I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if I can switch to an afternoon appointment. My check in time is 7:45 am which means I'll have to leave my house at 6:15 am :-/ My brain doesn't even start to function until at least 9:00 am!
To submit your TEAS go to http://www.atitesting.com, click on "my results", then "purchase transcript", find College of the Canyons and add to cart. That should do it :) hope that helps!

Wow, that's super interesting. I didn't know they were scheduling the test on different days. Did they let you know the date and time of your test on the 19th?
I'm glad I was scheduled for the 4th. I'm still studying and will be up most, if not all, night! I feel like my head's about to explode and I haven't even started on the English section! I got the McGraw-Hill 5 TEAS Practice Tests book and purchased the two ATI online practice tests and hope I'll have time to do them! Oh my...
Best of luck to you! I'm sending magic fairy dust your way!

Yes, as a matter of fact I've been watching all of the Khan Academy chemistry videos all day today! They're great! I neglected my study for the TEAS test and pushed ahead with my statistics class, finishing all of my homework and tests for the class through 9/30 because it was getting too confusing mixing the class and TEAS prep together. Unfortunately, there's a pitifully short period of time left to study for the test.
Thank you for your kind thoughts :-)
All of my fingers and toes are crossed for all of us!
