Hey StillwannabeaNurse.....City Hospitals is where there always needing PCA...i hope you understand that PCA means all three, not Person Care Assistant which is also known as Home Health Aide..Anyhow....... private you get so much more....But New York City Health and Hospital Coporation is where it is..somewhere like NYU... is alot more i heard.
No I understand, PCT provide EKG, Phel, and CNA. I work in GA right now and that is why my salary is so low.
Working in a hospital here and making 10 per hour is average for a PCT with no overtime or unions. I will check them out because I am looking to move back home. Do you know of any more NY City hospital beside NYU I would like more than one option and I want to send out my application as to many hospital I can
Well...Other than New York City Hosptiall Corporation which is also known as HHC...therees is an private hospital called Saint Vincents..their site is svcmc.org
Thank you so much I have a few applications in now, I was from NY and now that you have mentioned it, I do remember these facilities as well.
Your Welcome " stillwannabeaNurse"....:nuke:

You also might consider some private hospitals for PCA in New York; North Shore Hospital hires as well. And, if you have some experience, agencies like Total Health, Criticare and Gotham may hire you and send you to HHA facilities. That may be an advantage to see how things work at HHC before you commit yourself.
Oh wow pagandeva2000.
I totally forgot about northshore...they pay so much...u just need a car cause its in longisland....n gotham agency pays a lot to temp.....
I have to find out the names of the other agencies my hospital uses (I work for HHC) and I'll post them. Sometimes, it is better to see the conditions before you are totally working for them because HHC hospitals are not for the faint of heart! I am not saying that you, personally could not handle it, but, see for yourself. Plus, there is a freeze on HHC positions (so they say), so, unless you know someone, it may take awhile.
In the past many agency PCAs and nurses eventually got hired at my place, and it seems that they bring them in by the droves!
