Saw this in another forum and thought it would get more answers here.
With the current economic situation, there have been a lot of changes in pay rates. Just so we are all more aware of the current pay rates can you pls. post the following:
1. State
2. City
3. Speciality (Hospital, Home Health, Nursing Home, Rehab, etc)
4. Pay rates
5. Benefits offered by agency (pls. don't feel shy to be detailed)
I think the RN's have their own salary thread somewhere on this site.
Illinois
Hospital - Med/Surg
$11.00 because I have no experience and this is my first CNA job. Another $1.50 for working on 2nd shift and another $1.50 on the weekends. I end up making $14.00 during the weekends. We also get a bonus, if we pick up an extra shift per pay period.
I'm part time and I get benefits. 401K, tuition reimbursement, dental, medical, etc.
Y'all, this is the CNA board. There are many threads about RN/LPN pay rates in other areas of allnurses.com.
Oklahoma
CNA -> Monitor Tech -> CV Tech
$9 -> $9.75 -> $10.25
I work very full time (40+hours a week) and get full health/dental/vision/401k/PTO benefits
When I started working at this hospital as a CNA I had no experience. I did that for a year, MT for a few months, and transferred to CV, where I've been ever since. :)
Loving my job makes it worth the not-so-great pay...but then again, cost of living in OK is very affordable.

Yes, this is in the CNA forum so naturally, it should pertain to the CNA profession.
