Bravo to all the CNA'S

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

I just wanted to commend all the CNA's out there. I am a pre nursing student and will be taking my CNA state test shortly and I'm also an EMT. This week I started a new job as an EMT for a company that strictly does transfers to dialysis facilities for end stage PTs. I wanted to cry at the end of every day, I guess I wasn't prepared for the sadness of this job. So I just wanted to say I give you enormous credit for the job you do to take care of these residents.:yeah: I know I couldn't do it....

Nice to have an encouraging post. I get so annoyed reading on here about people complaining about changing people, kicking and screaming, hitting, etc. How the heck do you think these people feel? It is obviously not easy having to be changed because you can't do it yourself or shower yourself especially for the most prideful people. Some are not in their right mind. It certinly is not the job for everyone, but some people look past all of that and don't care and are just there to take care of them. Let's post some good things for awhile!

thank you! wow! well i have to say thank heavens for emts!! no joke. at my job there was a certain death and the emt's had to come out and i guess confirm that he had passed, and i thought holy cow i could not do that kind of work! seeing all the sad things expect to know and do so much stuff so fast.it really opened my eyes! so thank you!!

Thanks :D. I was a EMT way back when-worked in ER. I had thoughts to do it again but honestly prefere having more of a relationship with my patients. The CNA work over all is more demanding physicaly but atleast I know a little bit more about my patients prior to caring for them which makes me feel a bit safer. I now work mostly in hospitals or do home hospice. Renal failure is tough - gives you a whole new outlook at how fortunate we are to have our health. Thank You - for you doing what you do :heartbeat
