I was in a diploma program so my experience may or may not be different from what you will see, but our clinical groups did not change the whole way through. However, the ones that did not belong were weeded out pretty early. Good luck to you.

In my experience, clinical groups change every semester (mostly because people fail and get left behind or have to transfer blocks). Don't feel too bad about it... In nursing, you usually have to deal with tons of people whether you like it or not. Just make sure you're at least on good terms with them. A close-knit clinical group is pretty helpful if you need help... or you just need someone to relate to about a particularly emotionally taxing instructor! :) Good luck!

My clinical groups change with each class. We usually end up with some of the same people though each time. Is there anyone in your group that you are at all comfortable with? It is very hard if you don't have at least someone in your group with whom you can relate. There were some in my class that I thought of as . . . well . . . less than dingy, but they have actually turned out to be very wonderful at bedside nursing and just seem odd in class. Wait until you get to clinicals before you judge them, some people really find their niche there but don't have wonderful classroom mannerisms.
Best of luck to you!

Our clinical groups changed almost everytime...of course there were some I have been in with almost eveytime and then a coupel I have never been in clinicals with!! You may as well get used to it, cause no matter where you work you will be with people that you do not really like or want to be friend with but you need to be able to work and remain professional with them regardless!!! Why don't you give 'em a chance before you make judgements on others.
Maybe they feel the same way about you.

I agree (and you said it much better than the point I was trying to get to in my post). Nursing school is very intimidating and some people react to it differently than others. Take a deep breath, relax, and go into it with a positive attitude. Some people might just astound you and you might come away with some new-found friends! :)

Just focus on the patients, instead of the people in your group. Beside, you are not there to make friends, you are in clinicals to care of the needs of the clients.

Yikes.........what makes you think you are better than the rest in your group? I think before you start talking about chaning clinical groups, you should work on your own attitude and see if the problem is you and not them.
