I am planning to apply with that program..
Anyone here been through that training?
I want to know what to expect, especially on the interview...
I really want to get it on that extender program..
Thank you!
Is there a way to prepare for those situational questions ?? Or its just something you'll have to know as they ask? Sorry it's just that I haven't had an interview that you have to dress "business like" and I'm freaking out over here thinking they may ask questions that I won't know the answers to :-/
I don't know cause they could just ask you different kinds of situations. It can be a patient falling or a patient being hysterical. But you kinda have to be on top of your game cause they can just ask anything. Talk about how there's lots of unit you can be involved with during the CCE program and all of that. Yeah business like attire is mandatory for interview and clearance appointment. It's literally like having a job interview but it's more important cause this will start your career in health care.
Hello,
I was in the CCE program at St. Mary's Medical Center in Long Beach. I attended from May 2014- February 2015. I was an accelerated CCE which allowed me to go through 5 floors(telemetry, ob clinic, pediatrics, PXA, postpartum) in only 3 months. Like you all I was very nervous for the interview portion but it went really well. It is setup as a group interview and they ask you situational questions and personality questions. If you pass the interview you will get an email inviting you to training. Training is three days long, lunch is provided. The most nerve racking part of this process is passing the test there will be a written test and action test but as long as you pay attention during training you will be fine. This is a great program and it has taught me so much and guided me towards my career path. Goodluck everyone!

You have to dress professionally during interviews. They should have told you that from emails and stuff. I think you should also take it out you know just in case. Just be yourself and make sure you have pretty good reasons as to why you want to be a CCE. Also, be ready for situational questions. Always answer first cause they also notice if you answer quick. Good luck!
