I had a meeting with the financial aid counselor who really helped me map out the finances for the program. She was very very helpful!!!! Good luck to everyone Charles Drew is definitely not cheap but so worth it in the end when we will be working as high degree nurses

Hello, I was in the CCE program at St. Mary's Medical Center in Long Beach. I attended from May 2014- February 2015. I was an accelerated CCE which allowed me to go through 5 floors(telemetry, ob clinic, pediatrics, PXA, postpartum) in only 3 months. Like you all I was very nervous for the interview portion but it went really well. It is setup as a group interview and they ask you situational questions and personality questions. If you pass the interview you will get an email inviting you to training. Training is three days long, lunch is provided. The most nerve racking part of this process is passing the test there will be a written test and action test but as long as you pay attention during training you will be fine. This is a great program and it has taught me so much and guided me towards my career path. Goodluck everyone!

Hello all my name is Kiara I was jus informed last week of my acceptance to Charles Drew's Nursing program for Fall 2015 (yay!!). I was wondering if those of you in the program have any advice or tips for surviving in the program. Has it lived up to your expectations? How are your classes and professors? What is your schedule and studying like?

I heard back within 6 weeks of submitting all my application materials. I'm sure you will hear back soon. The wait is killer I was so nervous the whole 6 weeks of waiting. But Charles Drew is an amazing school after going on the tour I knew CDU was the only place I wanted to go to for my nursing education.

Hi I didn't have an interview I actually applied last year for the spring 2015 cohort but I didn't get in because all of the requirements weren't met. So I applied again for the fall 2015 cohort once all the requirements were met.
