I am a new Chief Nursing Officer for an FQHC. One of my first responsibilities to create an education/orientation for all new LPN/RMAs. I have a few questions:
How long should orientation be for a brand new RMA/LPN in a clinic setting?
Does anyone use IMS EMR?
Does anyone use online education software (i.e. Healthstream, Elseiver Clinical Skills - others?????)?
Thank you

Pathophysiology review of common conditions in your pt population?
Scope of practice boundaries (based on the "I'm basically a nurse" quotes from MAs that we read here, MAs doing pt education, etc.)?
Recent EBP changes?
Disclaimer: I have never worked in ambulatory care.
Great question.

You are asking AN to define and implement the responsibilities of your new job.
Please, let me Google that for you.

This is in no way a criticism of you, buy why would they have someone (I assume) with no nursing education experience develop an orientation plan? This makes my teeth itch!
