I'm working on studying for that clep. What is your study plan for this exam? I hear you can't really study for it; you either can interpret literature or not.

Took this on a whim, no study at all. It was so boring, but well worth the boredom for those 6 credits. Just breathe deep and you will do fine.

I am using the REA CLEP book mentioned above, which is excellent; I absolutely love Shakespeare. I took several classes in high school and over 20 years later, have much still memorized...lol. So needless to say, it does come easily to me. My CLEP book was cheap, like $25 from Barnes & Noble, if you are able to do a quick review of it online, you will be able to quickly grasp whether you like it or not. Good luck!

I clepped that one. AWFUL and boring. Old English. just passed, but that is fine with me.

I have to clep sociology by the end of the month.

We were together until I failed ls3...:(

I googled a couple literary terms the morning before, but other than that just went in and took it. I was at a Less than Jake concert all night until 4am that night too... I still passed it, and I absolutely hate English and reading comp.

They give you a passage and basically ask you about different elements, what they mean, which one is (insert chosen lit term here), what is the author referring to.... stuff like that.

It will be a nice break for you Loops, You both will do fine. Seriously! Don't sweat this one :-)

Oh.. one more thing, be mindful of your time, there are some long passages. I finished this w/like 4 mins to spare!!

yes! the time part. I forgot that one.

I almost ran out. just be mindful.....

This one is an easy but boring one. I passed with no studying. I don't really see how you can study for it.

So I guess I will need to get a grasp on literary devices. English comprehension always came easy for me but I was nervous because I see there is quite a bit of British literature.

Thanks everyone, great advice as usual.
