Just thought I would get a forum started as we await the decision. Everyone feel free to post your overall GPA, math and Science GPA, and TEAS scores. Also why you want to be a nurse and what specialty you would like to work in?
Overall GPA 3.38
M&S GPA 3.4
TEAS 80.7
I originally wanted to be an OB/GYN, but then I got pregnant and decided I would just become an account (math is my favorite subject). After my stay in the hospital (labor/delivery & postpartum) I decided I can still be in the hospital setting if I become a nurse. I want to be an OB/GYN nurse.:heartbeat I eventually want to become a certified nurse midwife.
Please weigh in Clayton State Applicants!
I just want to congratulate you all on your acceptance. But I want to especially send a BIG, GIGANTIC, ENORMOUS CONGRATS to Mrs. Lewis. I told you, you would get in with no problem. Make sure you save everything you have for me just in case I decide to join you guys in the spring!!!! CONGRATS UP, and COMING BSN's!!!!!:yeah:
AWWW...Thank you!!! ...I will...hope you join us!
OAN: Now I'm anxious to start my orientation packet and the packet isn't ready yet....Ugh! LOL
Hi Ms. Lewis,
Congratulating on your acceptance :). Can you share what questions you were asked and your answers? I am going to have an interview next week, so I am very anxious. Thank you for any of your help. Any information from future nurses at Clayton would be appreciated. Thanks again.
Patho/Micro is a load on its own. I would not recommend it at all, but each person is different. Do you work?If you dont work then you can probably do it. Patho is a lot of studying and so is Micro/plus the lab. Interactive communications takes a lot of efford to get a A. It is not an easy elective. I took it last fall with an online class and spent alot of time studying and reading, plus a few papers and group video project. It will sure lighten your load while in nursing school to get rid of that elective.
No, fortunately, I do not have to work right now...I am a real estate broker; therefore, I can pick and choose my schedule and work load....without working, do you think all three classes are doable with A's?
I took Micro and patho at the same time and got a's and a B in the lab. I studied all the time, but during the summer it is harder since they have to put so much material in such a short time. I personally would not do it,but I also work fulltime, if you think you can handle it go for it. Take collins for micro, he is a great teacher and very nice. I never used the micro book, he tests from his power point slides. In patho I had Walsh and she was GREAT, she also tested from her lectures and also gave you the lectures for you to watch at home. GREAT teacher and really loves her job. Good luck in what ever you decide,we are all here to hear your complaints and needs... Cant wait to meet you all.

Given my options, I think I would rather deal with my prospective summer load as opposed to dealing with the three nursing classes + IC in the fall....I really appreciate the advice...especially the advice about the instructors....thanks
Good Luck and I also would rather get IC out before I started too, it will lighten the load up.
Does anyone know a student who is looking for a TEAS V study book, Kaplan edition 2 and Mcgraw Hill enterance book, I have these 3 books and will sell them for 20 bucks just to get them out of my house.
