  1. Hello everyone! I'm in the program now with an2on. I was reading your posts on here and remembering how stressed out I was going through the acceptance process. I do not miss it! You will be fine though, most of your instructors are super nice and will really try their best to help you along. You can probably get by with only ordering two sets of uniforms since you only wear them two times a week. Also, the uniforms run really big so if you normally wear a medium be prepared to buy a small, it's weird. They say you need a lab jacket but you never wear it so just buy one of the them. I bought my shoes at Wal Mart for like $20 and they are amazingly comfortable. They are the kind designed for servers so they are made to be on your feet all day and they are non slip. The biggest piece of advice I can give you off the top of my head is when you get into HIT1 sign up to take your clinicals at Dekalb Main. I LOVED it there! Also, if they offer it, take the PM clinicals. You get to sleep in and you don't have to waste your time doing 10,000 bed baths all morning. Good luck!!!!
  2. I would suggest maybe talking to your advisor at the school. They can help explain to you exactly what you need to do.
  3. The web site is saying that you must attend a school orientation before you can apply. It's just the new student orientation where they show you how to register for classes and stuff. It takes a few hours on one day.
  4. I was just wondering if anyone who's accepted into the fall 2011 class knows where and when our clinicals will be? I'm so excited about it! Or if anyone who's already started the program can let me know how it is....
  5. I'm getting really frustrated now, it still won't let me register and meanwhile at least one of the classes I wanted is full already. It won't even let me register for Interactive Comm in the summer because it's saying "Class Restriction". And still my advisor is not answering the phone. By the time I get in to see her at the appointment I made everything will be full and I'll wind up with the worst schedule possible.
  6. The advisor hold has been removed but the hold that's preventing me from registering says "Field of Study Restriction - Major" So I think thy just haven't changed my major yet. I've been trying to call my advisor for a week straight and no one ever answers the phone. Worst case scenario is that I managed to get an appointment with her Wednesday afternoon so hopefully everything will get taken care of then. I also have to get my financial aid switched from GPC to Clayton, so I figured I'd go in and do that Wednesday too.
  7. I tried to register but I guess they must be behind on changing the majors because there is still a hold on my account.
  8. I am going to take Patho in the summer and I'm planning on taking Int. Comm. as well. I'm so excited!
  9. I would imagine so!
  10. Yay! I just got an email from Christy Hicks, she said that major codes will be changed Monday morning and by noon we will be cleared to register for fall nursing coursework! Soooooo excited! I can't believe this is really happening, it's like a dream!
  11. I'M IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clpty: :anpom: :hpygrp:
  12. I think my brother picked the absolute best weekend to get married! I have been so busy shuttling around my family this week that I haven't even had much time to worry about getting a letter. Hopefully I will get mine tomorrow so this weekend can be a dual celebration! *wine Good luck everyone! I think we will all get in because the odds, 80%, are in our favor!
  13. Mrs. Lewis, I took World Religions online at GPC and Clayton counted it as my F5 elective. It was super easy and I actually enjoyed it.
  14. I feel like it went pretty well but I don't want to jinx it. She explained about the insurance and fees, it's sooooo expensive! It's worth it though! I'm so excited to get the letters and get our uniforms and stethoscopes and whatnot.
  15. Thank you, Mrs.Lewis! I'm trying to make myself sleep now but I keep going over possible questions and answers in my head. I think I need to just try and forget about it or I will drive myself nuts, lol.
