  1. Hello everyone! I'm in the program now with an2on. I was reading your posts on here and remembering how stressed out I was going through the acceptance process. I do not miss it! You will be fine though, most of your instructors are super nice and will really try their best to help you along. You can probably get by with only ordering two sets of uniforms since you only wear them two times a week. Also, the uniforms run really big so if you normally wear a medium be prepared to buy a small, it's weird. They say you need a lab jacket but you never wear it so just buy one of the them. I bought my shoes at Wal Mart for like $20 and they are amazingly comfortable. They are the kind designed for servers so they are made to be on your feet all day and they are non slip. The biggest piece of advice I can give you off the top of my head is when you get into HIT1 sign up to take your clinicals at Dekalb Main. I LOVED it there! Also, if they offer it, take the PM clinicals. You get to sleep in and you don't have to waste your time doing 10,000 bed baths all morning. Good luck!!!!
  2. I would suggest maybe talking to your advisor at the school. They can help explain to you exactly what you need to do.
  3. The web site is saying that you must attend a school orientation before you can apply. It's just the new student orientation where they show you how to register for classes and stuff. It takes a few hours on one day.
  4. I was just wondering if anyone who's accepted into the fall 2011 class knows where and when our clinicals will be? I'm so excited about it! Or if anyone who's already started the program can let me know how it is....
  5. I'm getting really frustrated now, it still won't let me register and meanwhile at least one of the classes I wanted is full already. It won't even let me register for Interactive Comm in the summer because it's saying "Class Restriction". And still my advisor is not answering the phone. By the time I get in to see her at the appointment I made everything will be full and I'll wind up with the worst schedule possible.
  6. The advisor hold has been removed but the hold that's preventing me from registering says "Field of Study Restriction - Major" So I think thy just haven't changed my major yet. I've been trying to call my advisor for a week straight and no one ever answers the phone. Worst case scenario is that I managed to get an appointment with her Wednesday afternoon so hopefully everything will get taken care of then. I also have to get my financial aid switched from GPC to Clayton, so I figured I'd go in and do that Wednesday too.
  7. I tried to register but I guess they must be behind on changing the majors because there is still a hold on my account.
  8. I am going to take Patho in the summer and I'm planning on taking Int. Comm. as well. I'm so excited!
  9. I would imagine so!
  10. Yay! I just got an email from Christy Hicks, she said that major codes will be changed Monday morning and by noon we will be cleared to register for fall nursing coursework! Soooooo excited! I can't believe this is really happening, it's like a dream!
  11. I'M IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clpty: :anpom: :hpygrp:
  12. I think my brother picked the absolute best weekend to get married! I have been so busy shuttling around my family this week that I haven't even had much time to worry about getting a letter. Hopefully I will get mine tomorrow so this weekend can be a dual celebration! *wine Good luck everyone! I think we will all get in because the odds, 80%, are in our favor!
  13. Mrs. Lewis, I took World Religions online at GPC and Clayton counted it as my F5 elective. It was super easy and I actually enjoyed it.
  14. I feel like it went pretty well but I don't want to jinx it. She explained about the insurance and fees, it's sooooo expensive! It's worth it though! I'm so excited to get the letters and get our uniforms and stethoscopes and whatnot.
  15. Thank you, Mrs.Lewis! I'm trying to make myself sleep now but I keep going over possible questions and answers in my head. I think I need to just try and forget about it or I will drive myself nuts, lol.
  16. Hmmmm, I may need to get a quickie marriage so that I can get on my boyfriend's insurance if the schools costs that much, lol. Shots aren't a problem to me, I'm pretty sure I'm up to date on everything but now that I'm thinking about I think I read something about having to get a hepatitis vaccination, I don't have that yet. Do they have classes for CPR training at the school? I wouldn't even know where to get that. Guess it's time to start researching.
  17. What? We have to be CPR certified before we start and get more shots? Do we have to have health insurance?
  18. Yay!!!! I had just decided to give up on waiting by the phone for the day and got in the shower, and guess who called!!!!???? I saw the phone light up and I jumped out so fast! I have an interview with Dr. Weaver Thursday at 12:30. What kind of questions did they ask? I'm so excited!
  19. I just called, no answer I can't ever get anybody on the phone I swear... I'll try again in a few minutes.
  20. Mrs. Lewis, do you think if I called her tomorrow she would be able to confirm that my application was received and processed? Maybe I will do that then, I'm going crazy! Good luck on your interviews tomorrow everyone! Let me know how they go!
  21. @LisaMac, They told me they added additional TEAS dates because of the snow storm. Since the school was closed for a week, they added a week of test dates to make up for it. I don't even know who my adviser is, I have a hold on my registration for "must see adviser" so I need to get a hold of her for that reason too but for some reason Adviser Track isn't working. I've been trying to hold off calling the department about it because I'm sure they are getting tons of calls from people asking to hear if they got in or not. I figured they wouldn't tell me anything anyways. At this point I'm just trying to keep myself busy so I can't think about it too much, like that's possible.
  22. Everyone will need to tell me how the interviews go and what kind of questions they ask. I'm hoping they are doing two waves of interviews or something. I still haven't heard anything either way. :anbd: It seems like everyone here has interviews on Monday, maybe they will do more the next Monday???? I'm hoping anyways...
  23. So it looks like I'm the only one who hasn't heard anything yet. I just checked my mailbox and all I got was a Maxim, so, that's good I suppose. Maybe I should call Tmobile and make sure my phone is working or something, lol.
  24. Omg, I'm so sorry! Now I'm terrified. I think I got lured into a false sense of security because I figured I would have gotten a rejection letter by now if I was going to get one. And the panic attack is setting in....
  25. sreed73, is your last name ***? I'm asking because mine also starts with an R, so maybe they are going in alphabetical order and they just haven't gotten to us yet?
