:yeah:I'm SoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOooooo Excited!!!!!!!!!!!! I start NS on Monday!!! I have been waiting for this weekend to start before it even began. I have packed my bookbag a million times already.

Good Luck to everyone that's starting pre-reqs and starting NS!

Do good and study hard everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!:typing

Soon as we think we will all be nurses!!!!:nurse:

How was everyone's first week? Mine was hectic, just figuring out where all my classes are, getting into the routine of it and that mind boggling chemistry which I am getting in two directions....A&P I and General Bio. Ugh! By the end of the week I was in tears because of the stress level, but once I made it to the weekend I felt better. I was able to relax for a few hours and then get caught up on all my assignments and reading and note taking. So I'm feeling much better now. I can start the week off fresh! I have attended the nursing information session, which was an online slideshow. It was basically stuff I already knew just by my own research on my school's program, but still it is one more thing I can mark off my checklist! Now all I need to do is keep working on my pre-reqs, striving for a 4.0 GPA...and then in January I keep doing pre-reqs while also taking the CNA course and I can apply for the nursing program at that time as well! There are sooooo many people in my classes that are also going for nursing - its kind of intimidating. But the thing is, alot of them are younger and I have noticed them talking or not paying attention, using their study time to chat on the phone and such. Not me though - I always have my nose in a book, flashcards or my laptop working and studying. I'm going to do everything humanly possible to make sure I get into the Fall 2010 nursing program at my school!

Has anyone else already bought their study guides for the TEAS (or whatever test you will be taking)? I haven't but I plan to get it soon so that when I'm not studying for my classes, I can be studying for the TEAS! Good luck with week two everyone!

Good Luck ! It's a great feeling. Your on your way to fullfilling your dreams. I'm almost done with my pre's. Only A&P II and micro. I only go part time. It's good you are taking a full load. Keep up with every thing this way your not overwhelmed. Again Good Luck !!!

I start in.... 15hours 45min.!! Ahh my countdown has been clicking all weekend :) I am really REALLY nervous. I still have to get two books. I have been to tthe bookstore at least five or six times and they still do not have my books. err :(

First day of pre-reqs. Its not like I have never taken a college class before, just not full time. And none at this college, or in this state, or on this side of the country :) I am also nervous because I need to make friends, but not living on campus, this is going to be really hard.

So tomorrow I have to try the library at 730. Then classes from 8-12:15. Work from 1:30-3:30. Then home to get myself organized for the next day. Can't wait!!

Woohoo! I start Tuesday though and Im taking english, Nutrition, A&PII, and Spanish II. Hopefully I will start my nursing classes in the Spring semsester. Good luck everyone!

Class starts Tuesday. Just Chemistry ( kind of sticking my toe in to test the water ), But still a little anxious. I turn 39 in about an hour and a half from now, and I really need a career change. (Yes, this doubles as my mid-life crisis.) I've thought about Nursing for some time but it seemed like such a long-shot. Really the only thing holding me back is ME!

Hoping to get my pre-reqs out of the way to enter the Accelerated BSN program in 2011.

Wish me Luck! ... And good luck to you guys too!

Good luck everyone who is starting pre-reqs or NS... I am so excited and nervous. I never been to college and I start my first class at noon today. I only need 2 pre-reqs (Intro to A&P and Intro to Chem) and atleast 12 credit hours with a 3.0 gpa to get on the nursing program waitlist... so I just went ahead and registered for College Comp and Gen Psychology since I have to take it sooner or later.

At orientation last week, I also felt a little intimidated seeing so many pre-nursing students trying to get on the same waitlist as I am. I suppose I should keep an open mind and not let it bother me. Maybe a little competition will actually keep me motivated to achieve my goals and become an RN.

Good luck everyone!!! Don't let anything get in your way... we will all become NURSES.

Though not looking forward to leaving my 3 month old in daycare :( It's gonna be a tough first day. :crying2:

I understand - but GOOD FOR YOU! My oldest went to daycare at 1 month old, it was so hard, but day by day it got easier. It helped that I felt confident in who was keeping her too, so I didn't feel I had to worry while I was gone. Good for you, doing what you can. Remember it hurts so much worse for you - your little one won't remember this the way that you will. In years to come your little one will look back and say, "Wow, my Mom really worked hard to give me this wonderful life!"

GL to you!! Mine started on Monday as well...American Civilization, Chemistry AND A&P part I. Cant wait for the A&P!!!!

Woohoo - got all scheduled up, my classes start Monday too, but my first one is on Tuesday. Taking College Writing I, Biology - PreAnatomy, Core Math, Psychology, and an orientation class. Really nervous and really excited!!!
