Clackamas Program 2008: Points & GPA

just like everyone else, i am curious on the competition for this year's applicant pool! :bugeyes:

so if you are an applicant and so inclined to share please list:

prerequisite application gpa & points as per the clackamas community college point system.

since i started this thread it's logical for me to begin with my gpa & points:

3.91 gpa

54.84 pts

If you make the cut off for points.... You will be invited for an interview followed by a proctered essay immediatey after the group interview.

Is it worth calling Clackamas to see if they will disclose the point cut off for this year?

Their dealine isnt untill April 11, but what happened last year was after the dealine they mail you with your calculated total points you are given 1 week to dispute them and then after that they mail out wether you are invited to the interiew or not and they will tell you what the point cut off was.

Strange, I called the nursing office at CCC this week and asked about last year's applicant pool. The woman I spoke with said that they looked at the points break down and chose 40 as the cut off. But, it sounds like that is not the case. Who knows.

40 point cut off is defintely not the case! I still have my rejection letter from last year....

I calculated 47 points for the ccc program. From what I read the cut off last year was 47. Does anyone have any input on how much the cuf off varies from year to year?

Clackamas has the worst website for Nursing out of the local schools. Hardly any information or statistics for the applicants. Mt. Hood, OHSU and other local schools give you decent information from year to year. Just a mini rant. With that I hear the program itself is really good!

I applied for fall 2008 entrance. Stats are:

GPA: 4.0

Points: 61

Breakdown:

40 for GPA

5 done with A&P

5 completed prereqs

5 A in the first A&P

3 for CNA work

3 for working for a partner hospital

If I don't get in then I will probably become a speech-path or something. Does anyone know if they will admit more than 40 students for fall 2008 because of the new health science building at the harmony campus? Also, will the whole program be moved to harmony campus? Thanks!

Well I actually got into clackamas starting this summer. I am going through a special program thru my work. I am very excited but when the people from the school came to talk to us they said that in the fall they were moving to the new building. I am pretty sure they are still only accepting 40 because the problem isn't the room, it's the amount of instructors and the clinical space. Hope that helps
