Any current or graduated students of Seattle University's APNI direct entry program
Hi there. I know you posted this quite some time ago, but I'm wondering if you decided to attend SU and if so, how you're liking it? I'm also wondering how the scholarship came about. Did you apply for it or were you offered it when they offered you admission? I'm applying to several schools and am not looking forward to all the loans. Thanks!

Clackamas Program 2008: Points & GPA
I got my letter today. Whatever the points cut off is, it was more than 48 b/c I didn't get an interview.

Clackamas Program 2008: Points & GPA
I'm wondering if those of you who have accepted an offer from another school and who also applied to CCC decided to let them know to take you out of the applicant pool or if you are still going to see if you get into CCC? Just wondering how that will affect the applicant pool.

Best Bsn Program In Portland?
The post with the link regarding NCLEX pass rates was posted awhile ago, but I just wanted to point out that the 80% was for OHSU's graduate program. The pass rate for the Portland campus BSN was 92.22%. Another thing that I try to keep in mind is that all programs are great for some and not for others. I've heard the complaint regarding clinicals about not only Linfield but also OHSU and Mt. Hood. I've also heard the complaint about being disorganized about all three as well. It just reminds me that I have to advocate for myself in clinicals and do my best to get the experience I'm looking for.

Clackamas Program 2008: Points & GPA
I was told that they were planning to do interviews during the last week of May, so I would think they'd have to let us know what our point totals are any day now in order to have time to get the interview letters out and schedule the interviews. However, I was told this by the same person who gave me some faulty information regarding last year's point cut off for interview so you never know!

OHSU's ABS program
Well, there is more waiting in store for me. I got my letter saying that I am on the alternate list. I hope you all fared better!

Just Starting Out - Pre Req's
The OCNE schools (OHSU, Mt. Hood, Clackamas) and PCC all have pretty much the same prereqs (except maybe one of two), and they also seem to have the fewest, which is nice. Linfield, UP, George Fox are all really expensive and have more prereqs, which drives the cost up even further. So, in terms of bang for the buck, I'd look at the OCNE schools and go with their prereqs. PCC is not OCNE now but is transitioning in a year or two. Hope this helps!

OHSU's ABS program
I had that same experience. I called and the woman I spoke with was really irritated and didn't know what to say to me when I asked why people were getting phone calls when she just told me that they only notify people by mail. If they make phone calls, fine, but don't say your policy is one thing if its actually another. I heard on Friday that someone got a rejection letter, so even if I haven't gotten a call - at least I haven't received a rejection letter yet.

OHSU's ABS program
I've heard from a few people that they got calls this week and last from OHSU telling them they were accepted into the ABS program. I was told by OHSU's nursing dept that they only notify students by mail. Does anyone know whether the fact that I didn't get a call means I didn't get in?

Clackamas Program 2008: Points & GPA
Strange, I called the nursing office at CCC this week and asked about last year's applicant pool. The woman I spoke with said that they looked at the points break down and chose 40 as the cut off. But, it sounds like that is not the case. Who knows.
