Has anyone gotten an email from Clackamas or PCC? I haven’t heard about any delays or emails for moving forward or declined.

For anyone that got a alternate email from Clackamas, did they specify if you were in the top 15 or did they just say you were on the alternate list. I tried asking them about how many people were on the alternate list but was given no info.

It’s specified if you are in top 15. Orientation date they gave is June 11th, which I’m assuming is for those accepted as well as top 15 alternates.

Hello, I was also put on the alternate list for Clackamas. In my email it didn’t mention about the specific number :/.

MRA, don’t be too discouraged , last year (this is my 2nd year applying to programs) LBCC had 9 alternates give up their alternate status, and ended up taking 19 total from alternate list by the start of program, so there could be movement to your number, it could just take time ? . I do wish we knew what number we are at Clackamas, but just to clarify: top 15 were notified , the rest on list don’t know their number , and there were some that interviewed and didn’t get on the list at all? Thanks for the updates everyone !

I know people were either accepted, notified of being a top 15 alternate (but not your specific number within the 15), or alternate. However, I’m not sure if there were any that interviewed who were outright rejected, or if everyone was placed somewhere on the alternate list.

I'm not sure if this accurate. Because I just got an email from LBCC stating how many alternates they have taken in previous years. But, I think we will see some movement if people give up their alternate status!

THIS IS FROM LBCC if any one is interested.

****This year we received 220 qualified applications. There are 56 seats in the 2020 cohort so 56 qualified applicants have been offered, and the remaining qualified applicants have been assigned Alternate numbers. The number of alternates who might be contacted prior to the start of Fall 2020 is not something we can predict as that varies from year to year. I am able to share information from the three prior cohorts for comparison purposes: In 2019 one (1) alternate was contacted to fill a seat which had been declined by another student; in 2018 we contacted 12 alternates to fill vacated seats, and in 2017 there were 11 alternates who were contacted to fill vacated seats.****

MRA that is interesting , I am not sure if my numbers were accurate , but I did double check the email I received last year and the numbers were the same as I originally posted, so I’m not sure why they don’t add up with the latest e-mail from LBCC regarding alternate status...but either way I hope there is a spot available to you sometime soon :) I’d be more than happy to have a spot with LBCC, too... although it’s the furthest distance from my home. Good luck , and keep us posted if you get in !

Did they let you know of a orientation date?

June 11, from 1pm-4pm. They'll email attendees the week before with a Zoom link.

Congratulations to those that got an acceptance into Clackamas! I’m now on the alternate list for Clackamas, and Linn Benton. I’m still hoping to get into PCC...I believe by the beginning of June they should let us know ? I did feel as if I struggled with my Clackamas interview, even though everyone was so kind and welcoming! Are any of you waiting to hear back from PCC?

I'm also waiting to hear back from PCC, debating if I should just accept the CCC slot now or wait in case PCC replies next week. Not sure how I'd choose if I got in to both.

Dayna that would be a tough decision. Did you take your prerequisites at CCC? I’ve worked with nurses that have gone through both programs, and have always heard of good experiences...both seem to have pretty solid reputations! PCC said late May early June we should know of our status....but that can’t come soon enough ...good luck ?

Has anyone here applied to MHCC?

I actually did prereqs at PCC, it seems silly but I almost want to go there just so I'd have one less transcript if I decide to apply to grad programs in the future. Good luck to you as well!
