City tech nursing 2017?

Published

Hi, I was wondering how my chances are getting into the nursing program for the spring 2017 semester. I have a 3.5 pre req gpa and A in a&p and a 90 on the teas. I know they mostly

look at gpa which is why I'm so nervous... I heard 3.5 is the cutoff. I got a B in eng comp but I got a 95 on the English portion on the teas so I was hoping that would better my chances. I'm really nervous!!! If anyone is in the program please give me your insight!!!

No @Kbeebaby, I am in my 2nd semester.

Hi @Bizarreville! What is your best advice for acing Nur 1110?

1110 is all critical thinking. Go over your material as usual but also the handouts the professors posts on BB, and try to manage about 200-300 practice questions before the exam from kaplan, lippncott, saunders, etc. You could do like 20-30 questions a day, see the rationales for the questions you got right and wrong so you can understand why certain answers are the way they are. They still stress this to us even now during NCLEX reviews. Make sure you listen to the prof coz she stresses certain points in class which will be on the exam, of course she wont come right out and say it's gonna be on the exam lol. Take notes and pay attention to what she says, coz again, those are hints as to what she's gonna ask. ((And take Prof. O.))

Try to go over as much Unit 1 for both classes at least once before classes start.

1130 not too sure as the prof we had arent there anymore and I don't know how the new ones are.

I personally preferred 1110 coz they didnt get the questions from every nook& corner of the text.

@Bizarreville thank you so much! & congrats on your graduation :nurse:

Did anyone receive a letter yet?
