City tech Nursing spring 2016

Hello everyone,

I apply for the nursing program and I have a pre-req GPA of 3.5 and a teas score of 72. i just wanted to know what are my chances of getting in. Does anyone knows what was the cut-off for last semester. and finally when do we get the acceptance letter for Spring 2016?

I'd rather buy the stethoscope somewhere else ... not sure if we need one yet lol and anyone buy the white shoes?

Yeah i got the shoes, since its part of the uniform. I don't want to risk getting shoes elsewhere that turn out to be unacceptable.

So I just received the acceptance email from City Tech this morning with several attachments. One of which was regarding the background check and drug test. Apparently, when you order the package using the code specific to the NYCCT program, you will get a profile afterwards that include all the "to do's" before the program starts. The drug test instructions will be emailed to us, the background check is automatic and results will be posted to our accounts, the physical examinations and vaccine/blood test information are also able to be uploaded to your profile on this site. I assume this is the central hub used by NYCCT as well as the hospitals for our clinicals. The main to-do's are: ordering uniform ASAP because it takes time for the embroidery and delivery, complete the require blood test for the MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B titers, received a flu shot if you haven't already, do a drug test according to the instructions emailed to us by the certifiedprofile website, wait for the background check to be completed by the websites, and lastly go to orientation. I hope this information helps and I really look forward to meeting all of you at orientation!

Hello, I just got an email about the residency thing. I cleared it last semester because they were going to make me pay out of state tuition. so was that a general email.

It isn't s general email because it's only sent to specific accepted students. Not everyone got the email regarding residency. You need to clear it up with the office asap.

I am not sure if you are saying that in order to get in the program. However, this year we only had to get above the national means. we did not have to pass every section. I fail the english section for some reason, but i score about a 75 on the whole test which was above the 64 national mean. Therefore, it would be good to pass every section, but it is okay if you didn't. Just make sure you get above the na5tional means and at least a 3.5 pre-req GPA.

I had a hard time locating a facility that did the urine test, turns out there's one right by the school lol..
