City of Hope - New Grad August 2013

Hey everyone! Has anyone applied to the City of Hope New Graduate program? I applied a few days ago and will post on here if I hear anything. Best of luck to those that applied!

Also, one of my friends that applied to the new grad program was just contacted for an interview. He has no oncology experience and they are also advertising for this job on indeed. Realistically, I'm not quiet sure what the odds are for a spot in the next RN program, but if you have no other leads for a job...I'd do it.

@v98ginger - did your friend get contacted to interview for the NG pgm or the CIS position? I thought they already hired all NG candidates and closed their NG pgm for October.

He got contacted for the CIS position.

Did anyone else hear anything back from CoH for the CIS position? Still haven't heard anything :( if nothing today I'll try contacting them tomorrow..

Hm, still haven't heard anything back yet :( I was looking at one of the Facebook posts regarding the CIS position and it seems that yesterday they were still interviewing a few candidates.. Haha still have high hopes ..

I think a few people got called for background screening and drug screening already. Not sure if that's considered official. I'm in the same boat as you NurseJM46. Trying to be optimistic, but not too hopeful. LOL

Yes, the calls were to start the background check. It seems like they are still interviewing (at least from what I've seen on fb). I think they're busy interviewing that they probably haven't had the time to make all the calls yet.

Some person got a welcome email with the background check and requirements info so I think its official.
