City Colleges of Chicago: Fall 2012

Hi!

I thought I would start a thread for those of us who have applied for the Fall 2012 Nursing Program at the City Colleges of Chicago. I have heard that they are letting people know on April 18th. Let's hope that's accurate because I'm so anxious to find out! Post here if you've heard anything at all in regards the the Nursing Program!

I received my acceptance from Dr. Gurney to Truman at about 4:30pm. My gpa is 3.8, teas score 82.

Congrats NathanielN! Does your last name start with N, I suppose? Just wondering about the order.

Yes, my last name starts with an "N," however a classmate of mine whose last name starts with an "A" got accepted around the same time I did. Her GPA was close to mine, so it appears letters of acceptance are going out based on descending GPA. Or maybe it's totally random, who knows. Good luck to you.

Congratulations! Is 3.8 your accumulative GPA, or your GPA with only the nursing requirement courses?

I just received my acceptance letter to Daley College!! My gpa was 3.6 and I got a 77 on my teas. Congratulations and good luck to everyone!!

looks like they are going by gpa which sucks. My friend got 4.0 from two classes from city college and rest is transfer classes and he got accepted. So it doesnt matter if you took all classes at city college or score high on tea exam. So I guess the rest of us will find out tomorrow.
