  4. Hi. I was wondering if anyone knew whether they had night class or day class? I got the email about uniform fitting but I'm not sure which one to go to
  5. exactly. Its a perfect example of old people not embracing technology and vewing it as negative because they don't connect the same way as others. The point is times are changing and it is what it is. Being on your cell phone at work is not automatically rude. Smartphones give us the power to access so much knowledge in the blink of an eye. Text messaging is just very convenient. The reality is that its not that horrible to have a phone on you. But like I said, people are so judgmental. I'm not worried because the amazing thing about time is that the people with old age views will eventually retire (hopefully). And to the person asking what we did before cell phones......that's like asking what we did before cars and light bulbs. We made due with what we had until something better came along. Mulitasking is possible. I don't care about people telling me "studies have shown" unless they did the study themselves
  6. And to the people making it seem like texting at work takes away so much time and money........its called multitasking. Some people can do it well while some can't. People probably shouldn't hold conversations that's not work related because that's taking away time and money also
  7. I agree with you. It seems like most peoples first instinct is to sue or get people fired. Most people on here are either nurses or aspiring to be one and imagine all your hard work wasted because you made a dumb decision. We are all human and I'm sure that all the people being so judgemental have done something that maybe they shouldn't have done and never got caught or in trouble for it. If you have such a big issue about something maybe you should say something to them vs getting them in trouble. I couldn't see myself on the phone during assessment but you don't know where that persons head was. Maybe she didn't think you would trip about it. We ALL do what we can get away with.
  8. Congrats sskrips!
  9. To all those still waiting, don't give up hope. The waiting game is just brutal. I hope they handle this in a more efficient way next time. If 1700 ppl applied this year, I can only imagine how many ppl will apply next year. With that said, I still have a few more classes to take so it will keep me busy until the fall. Finishing 2 of my gen ed classes now and taking the last 2 over the summer if financial aid allows. I hope to get a job in the hospital before school starts also
  10. Which school kam24
  11. Thanx smrecendez. There is still hope!
  12. I really thought the same thing Bethany but I didn't wanna mention it and get other people paranoid but I'm just so glad I called at the right moment. I really thought I wasn't getting in
  13. I got accepted to Daley!
  14. Thanks nursinghereicome for giving me the motivation to call dr gurney again. I called her at 5:35 and she actually answered. I asked for my status and she looked my name up. I don't know where she looked but it said that I didn't submit a background check. I know I did so she looked further and saw that I did submit one. She told me she would pull the rest of my file and let me know either way by email. I am so relieved. My impression was that she hadn't even looked at my application yet. So people who have not heard a response don't go crazy just yet. Another feeling I got from the phone call was that she might be working alone because it was very quiet. So we are just gonna have to be patient.
  15. At this point it just is what it is. I've emailed and called dr gurney and got no response. Ive done my part so I have to be happy with that. I just want to stop checking my email because it's driving me nuts.
