Christus St. Catherine New Grad Program 2011

Hi ya'll,

So, can anyone tell me ANYTHING about Christus St. Catherine's new grad program in Katy?!

Got what looks like a secondary application and maybe even an interview there ((crossing fingers)), but can't seem to find anything on the message boards about it ... any input would be great. Just hoping they don't have 2 positions for each specialty and 1,000 applicants ...... :yeah:

Lovelymo, what makes you relocate to Houston?! We seem to have a lot in common, lol!

I am sending 4 letters of rec along (I tend to be an overachiever); 2 are professional/community - my nurse manager and the lead clinical nurse on my floor where I work, and I have 2 academic - a professor/clinical preceptor, and my acute care clinical instructor.

Well sending 4 wouldn't hurt at all. This is the only hospital I've seen that wants a community letter

I'm actually looking all over Texas -- not just Houston. But, definitely interested in the St. Catherine program. Actually, about to fax my application over because clinical was cancelled..bc of crazy weather!

Btw, I did just 2 recommendation letters -- one community from my church. I'm a junior coordinator for the Nurses Unit at my church and the Leader of the Nurses Unit wrote me a recommendation. The other is from a clinical instructor who loves me..lol!

Did those that faxed have any trouble faxing? I just tried and keep getting a busy/error message. On my way to another fax machine. If I can't get it to work, I'm going to rush it down there tomorrow by mail!

Kind of late, but I also did one from Community and one from my Professor/Preceptor instructor. The community one was from the rape and suicide crisis center where I volunteer. And then I have a third one from my preceptor. I still need to give it to them though

No, it didn't. I tried 3 different fax machines, a total of 8 times. I'm mailing it tomorrow priority.

I also have been having trouble; I just tried again this morning and no luck. I'm going to call them in an hour and ask what the problem is. If nadda, I will mail it priority tomorrow. I'll keep ya'll posted!

I sent the recruiter an email last night but haven't heard anything yet. I'm mailing it out after I leave work but before I go to class.

Hi Lovelymo,

Sorry I've been working a ton the past couple days ... I called yesterday, and they said the fax should be working, but I explained that I knew a few people who have tried it with no success and she said to just mail it. So, I did priority yesterday afternoon lol. Oh well I guess!

I've also been emailing and even called Tia Shorty (since I'm from mass and will only be in Houston 2 business days I've been rather pushy about getting an interview) and she hasn't responded to any of it ... sooo idk!
