Christmas List for Nursing Students

Hi all!

My family has been bugging me to get a Christmas list sent out to them since the beginning of October and I don't need/want much of anything! So I was thinking of asking for some nursing "stuff" that would be of help to me in the future.

Do you have any suggestions of books, flash cards, cds, etc. that would be wise to get? I'm only 2 years into nursing school, so NCLEX-RN book ideas or any clinical note card ideas would be helpful.

We had our orientation today and got a list of everything we'll need. I'm asking for penlight, scissors, stethescope, even money for nursing shoes and uniforms. I told my family that all of this could be birthday and christmas.

I too am going to provide a Nursing Student Christmas List to my family.I guess its ok to want nursing stuff for christmas, after all it is what i spend all my time doing :)

1) Barnes and Noble Gift Card (I love going there to look for study resources for my nursing books) Amazon.com is a close runner up.

2) subscriptions (and renewals) to nursing magazines

-Nursing Made incredibly easy, nursing 2008, ajn

3) I love the reviews and rationales series of books by prentice hall...gonna ask for next semesters subjects

4) A nice nursing tote bag to bring to clinicals (one with lots of pockets!)

5) more scrub sets

6) fun school supplies, notebooks, PENS, highlighters, mini stapler (stocking stuffers)

i have everything i need for school but what would really help would be 500 dollars for gas so at christmas when i go home the pinch at the pumps for snowmobiling wont be so bad.
