CHOC Children's RN Residency August 2020

Published

Hi everyone! I thought I would start a thread for CHOC Children's RN Residency that is starting in August 2020. I'm super excited to be applying to the NICU!

Fingers crossed for some good news in the coming months!

hey everyone ? I was wondering if you guys know if we need to have passed the NCLEX before the start date (8/17)? and if so, do you know how long it takes after taking the NCLEX to find out whether we passed it? thanks so much!

According to others you do have to pass the NCLEX before the start date. I’m not sure how COVID has affected time frames but when I took the NCLEX last year it took a few days for us to find out if we passed

I applied to CVICU fellowship and fingers crossed I make it...if not I’m going to try again for feb 2021! Good luck everyone!

Hello! I just submitted for the PICU Residency. After submitting the application, I received two additional question prompts about CHOC Children's mission and explain why I'm interested in working for CHOC. Did everyone fill these out? Are they part of the application?

I had these questions after my submission as well. I'm pretty sure they are required.

Hi, I applied to multiple units and withdrew them with only one left. I was wondering if that would affect the application, as I read that we can only apply to one unit?

Honestly not sure, does it show on your account that you withdrew them?

Hi ya'll, just applied to the ER. I combined my resume and cover letter, but only my resume went through. Any idea of how I can fix this issue?

Did you combine them in the same word document or tried to upload two files?

Is PICU, CVICU, ED, NICU, and Surgical Post-Op the only available units?

I combined them, but they didn’t merge successfully

Maybe withdraw and submit it again for the same unit? or contact HR

I uploaded mine in pdf, IDK if that makes a difference
