CHOA Nurse Externship

I wanted to start a thread for the fellow nursing students that have recently applied for the CHOA nursing externship for 2015. I had a digital interview a couple of days ago but have not heard back. Anyone else?

I received an email two days ago asking for references. Did anyone else receive this?

Mine just says "application under review." What does yours say now?

Mine says the same but I never received an email asking about references

I received an e-mail last week requesting references. They said we should hear back February 9th and that they will be making final decisions at the beginning of March.

Does anyone know of someone who has been a part of this program in the past? I'm curious to know more details about it, but am trying not to get too excited in case I'm not accepted! Either way, I'm honored to have made it this far in the application process!

I finished my digital interview last Sunday. I was wondering how long it took to receive an email about requesting refrences.

I completed my digital interview the first week of December and did not hear about references until mid January. I have not heard anything about moving forward with the application process, but the email I received about references stated that we will be told by February 9th if we move forward. I'm getting nervous, since that's only a week left for them to contact us!

I'm curious as to what the next step in the process will be if we make it past the references?

Also, did any of you apply to any other externship programs?

I assume they'll ask us to come in for an interview, but that's just me guessing. I applied to three other externships so far, and I will probably try to apply to a few more. CHOA is definitely the one I want the most though!
