Hi! I know the application for CHLA's RN Residency Program doesn't come out until March 2nd, 2020, but I just wanted to get a heads start!
I'm planning on applying for their NICCU and was curious if anyone knew what the prescreen interview would consist of?

I was wondering if those who have interviewed could give some insight on how their interviews went? Were the questions behavioral or clinical? Was it a panel interview? What would your biggest advice be? Any insight or advice would be much appreciated ?
Hi! I know that every unit does things differently, but I had a panel interview with 2 managers and 5 staff RNs. They were incredibly friendly and the whole thing lasted only 25 minutes. If your interview is via WebEx like mine was, I highly suggest going to their website and doing a practice meeting first to make sure your audio and sound is good. Have confidence because they wouldn’t be interviewing you if they didn’t already want you! I personally was not asked clinical questions but that could be different for you. Know why you want to work at CHLA and have 3-5 good questions prepared to ask at the end. Good luck, you got this!

I’ll add on because NICCU did it differently! I had a 20 minute meet and greet with 3 managers first that was basically an intro interview, mostly wanting to know about me. Then I had a 45 minute interview with 5 staff and it was mostly behavioral but I think I had 1 or 2 clinical questions (hard to remember now haha). Make sure you’ve done your research about the hospital and your unit(s) specifically, have lots of questions prepared to ask them, and don’t be afraid to express your passion and excitement for this opportunity! And again, have confidence and peace knowing that they are interested in you and that you are qualified for the job ? best of luck!!
@jcm1998 and @anjo98 WOW!, thank you both so much for your feedback! it means a lot and I will do my very best. congratulations to the both of you! ☺️

How’d the interview go? Did they tell you when you should hear back by?
