I was told 34 base but after 8 hours it’s time and a half so for a 12 hour shift it averages out to 39.66 if you do the math. Either way it’s not 37 for me but I’m almost positive everyone is paid the same!

Random question - does anyone know what color scrubs CHLA nurses wear? I know we have a few months before starting but I wanted to keep my eye out for scrub deals online! Thanks ?

Hi! I know that every unit does things differently, but I had a panel interview with 2 managers and 5 staff RNs. They were incredibly friendly and the whole thing lasted only 25 minutes. If your interview is via WebEx like mine was, I highly suggest going to their website and doing a practice meeting first to make sure your audio and sound is good. Have confidence because they wouldn’t be interviewing you if they didn’t already want you! I personally was not asked clinical questions but that could be different for you. Know why you want to work at CHLA and have 3-5 good questions prepared to ask at the end. Good luck, you got this!

I got to choose from 24 interview time slots but I'm not sure if every single slot gets filled. I think around 60 total are selected for every cohort and each unit has their own number to hire based on need!

Hi guys! I received my invitation for a PICU interview as well and I couldn't be more excited! As far as the email goes, I am under the impression that the virtual interview could be it. A NICCU applicant had mentioned previously that they have a video interview then an in person one, but the email I received did not hint at an in person interview.
