CHLA RN residency September 2015

Hi all, just starting a new thread to see where everyone is at regarding application to the CHLA RN residency program scheduled for September 2015! What units did you apply to, and who has received their packet information?

Best wishes everyone. I hope you all get accepted!! I received a packet, but wasn't able to get all of the paperwork together in time as one of my instructors never came through with the last recommendation, and also realized that the licensing wouldn't work out because I'm in an accelerated program which graduates the last week in July. That means there's almost no way that I could have my CA license by August since the board there is notoriously slow and the NCLEX date I'm given may be a few wks. out after graduation. Most new grad programs are scheduled to revolve around those who graduate at traditional semester end dates, so I am frequently running into this issue. Oy vey!

Just got called today about an 10 minute interview for CTICU. Just thought I would share! Somehow my application ended up at the top of the list and so recruiter told me I was first person they called. Hope you guys here back from them soon!

Congrats SN2RN! But I'm confused, when did you get your call? I'm not sure if you meant they called you yesterday but I'm curious as to when to expect a call from them in the future! Is there a phone interview or did they schedule for you to come in sometime soon? Thanks!

I got called on the 13th around 5pm. They scheduled me to come to chla to meet the managers for both my 1st and 2nd choice. No status change prior to call or as of today so not sure if they will even do a status change

Hi everyone! I applied to the CHLA residency and I am anxiously waiting to hear back. Does anyone have any updates?

No calls yet but I heard they started calling back externals this week! I know one other person has received a call back from the CTICU. I'm turning up my phone volume to the highest bar these next couple weeks to make sure I answer once they call me back. For anyone who applied to OR let me know if they got a call back!

Hi everyone! I got a call yesterday for a prescreening interview with the ED managers! So excited and nervous, this is my dream hospital and my 1st choice unit!
