It sounds like they are not doing over the phone screenings. I will be traveling about 600 miles for my prescreening.

Really? I got a call but missed it and was really hoping that wasn't the case. Were they completely against doing it over the phone?

I just wasn't trying to push it. I mean, there are literally hundreds of us that want a position. I'm ok with sacrificing some time and money if it means I will have one of my dream jobs. Good luck!

Anyone know how many people they are taking for the prescreen and how many for the actual interviews? I would love the opportunity to go, but it seems a little crazy to have people flying out/driving hours for just 10 mins if the chances are low to move on. Don't mean to be negative just trying to be realistic...

I am so happy for all of you have received calls for prescreening! That is so exciting and I wish you the best of luck! Please keep the rest of us posted!!! I have not had any calls yet but keeping my fingers crossed. I would be flying out from Chicago, IL. so about a 5 hour plane ride. I applied for ER first choice and Med/Surg I believe for second choice. ANY ONE WHO APPLIED FOR ER first choice please post if you get a call!!!!

So exciting congrats to those who have gotten calls so far!!! I heard they do usually call by department so it seems NICU and BMT any other calls? How bout CTICU?

I can't remember who said they won't do phone pre-screenings. Did they tell you that they won't do those over the phone or did you assume that? I'm just asking because I'm in NC. Turned down a job here so hoping that CHLA works out

No call for me. I would travel all the way there for a chance though. Per HR, if we don't receive a call by end of next week, we weren't selected.
