CHLA RN Residency Sept 2018

Published

Hi everyone! I created this thread for all of us who are applying to the RN Residency at Children's Hospital Los Angeles for the September 2018 cohort. We can keep each other posted on application status and interviews. What unit did everyone apply to? I applied to the NICCU.

I had the same question!! I feel like they will review all of the videos and interviews at this stage in the process, but I will def. try to get it in within the week. I have 0 clue what to expect for this kind of interview í ½í¸–

I received the montage one, but t says it's a "live montage interview" and gave me a specific date and time I'll be interviewing. Is yours not live?

Mine says "on demand" montage interview and I can't find a specific time or date?? So I think it's different?

Mine says on demand too. Might be different for every unit.

When is your live interview? I emailed and she gave me until the 20th to complete it

I applied to the Heart Institute as well, I have not heard from them. I have two friends who were offered a video interview from PICU and 5 West.

Hey guys, I just a call earlier in the evening that I got the interview for PICU, its going to be a facetime interview for me! :) Good luck everyone!

I have some friends who got calls tonight offering in person speed interviews for PICU next week.

Can confirm, I also got a call tonight for an in-person interview with PICU next week! :) So excited!

Congrats guys on your interviews! :) Do you know if they have made all of the calls for PICU? I did not hear anything tonight. :( keeping my fingers crossed I will get a call soon.

hey, so when I was talking to the recruiter last night she was telling me she was only able to contact 30 out of 200 people so I'm sure she is still contacting PICU people until next week!

Hmmm could you clarify, are they contacting 200 people for a speed screening for PICU? I asked her today how many people are doing the speed screening and she said "about 30." 200 seems very high for one unit, right? Although its a very popular unit to apply to so maybe it really is that high.

When I spoke with her she said she's calling around 30 *from* the pool of PICU folks that applied. I believe that pool was the 200. :) But that's not to say she's done calling people yet, so I'm still crossing fingers for everyone!
